Gonna be hard for him. I lost my dad in March but we all knew it was coming. Brian's mom passed quickly and it sounds like he didn't get to say goodbye. She looks very young and this will take some time for him to get through it but something tells me he'll be in new Orleans on sunday.

RIP Momma Urlacher!
If you miss the game, so be it. Family is more important than a simple game.

What should you call any : Fumble , Hold , Interception , Three and out , or Sack ?
A " F.H.I.T.S " ? or a J'Marcus ?

My condolences to Brian and his entire family. Kegger is right. We only get one mother and when she passes it's a very hard thing for a son to bear. My Mom passed away just 3 months ago the morning after I arrived to be with her in her final days. She was sedated when I arrived and passed the next morning before I ever got the chance to say goodbye. Strong or not, Brian is in for a tough period of time. Grieving takes some time.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

Condolences to Brian and his family. May his mother rest in peace. Im sure she was proud of both her sons, and i just hope Brian made there before she passed.
And nobody here is saying Brian should play on Sunday, so there's no need for all this anger against people who are "whining' or saying that, when nobody is.

Wow...terribly tragic news. I literally felt sick to my stomach when I found out. My thoughts and prayers are with Brian and his family. May God comfort them and give them strength...hang in there 54!

That is sheer badassery. I don't know that I'd be able to leave the house w/out breaking down 2 days after a parent died.
