Angelo Speaks: The OL
Asked if he could've done more to build depth on the line, Angelo told the team's website: “We did everything you could possibly do to that position. Nobody did more than the Chicago Bears. We drafted a player (Carimi) in the first round. We brought in a player (Spencer) with a lot of NFL experience who is still in his prime. ... Injuries happen, and then you have to adjust accordingly. Everything bad that happened on Sunday wasn’t all because of poor offensive line play.”
It must suck when you "do everything you could possibly do" and the line is still the worst it has been in ages
ya b/c GC was the only OL in the draft they could have taken afterwards. And Spencer was the only FA OL'men.
You'll hear the same rubbish reply to the draft comment though Ricza... "and who from the (blank) round would have helped us this year?"

great job JA
this is what doing best possible job for oline looks like
move the worse RT in the league last year to LT and sprinkle Tice's fairy dust on him
A failure at T solidifies our LG spot
Couldnt re-sign Kreutz so move our average RG to C
A guy who got benched last season solidifies RG in Louis
draft a RT in Carimi which is the only legit thing they did
oh and dont forget we bid with ourselves three years ago for the services of OMG at a whopper 4 year 14 mil deal who is a backup earning that and earned honors as worse LT in league last year.
oh and while everyone is re-signing all their olinmen in their prime the one that wasnt re-signed is Spencer cause he stunk there but he is our highest paid olinemen.
when it comes to the offense JA has no credibility
I can just see Briggs leaving and JA drafting LB's and DL in the first 3 rounds and mitigating drafting OL in the middle to late rounds if any.
It is shocking to me that he thinks this is fixing the OL. I give him props for drafting Carimi, but more needed to be done.
I am so tired of Angelo and would love for him to be gone after the season.
Waddle and Silvy I think said it best when they said that he violates your football common sense.
I am just glad that in the same breath he did not try again to convine us that Devin Hester is a #1 WR.
Drafting a safety and quarterback tells me a different story you dumbass. I can see next years draft will include a safety, DL, DT, TE, LB and in the later rounds OL or a dumpster dive special.
