I hate watching my team play and feel embaressed, and thinking wow this is bad, maybe they will look better as the game goes on, i like tice and rod marrinelli but i agree clean house, i mean if the team magicly wins all of our game felt and we go deep into the playoffs ok, but that isnt going to happen, and who eles is in house.....the clown russkel who screwed up seattle, scarry.

I think JA knows his days as a GM are numbered and he is making sure he destroys the the Bears before he goes by not getting Forte's contract done.

No JA is going to ease back and hand the duties to Ruskell. Same philosophy same result.

Listening to the Score last night and Laurence Holmes brought up a great topic. He asked where the depth was on the team if players like Urlacher, Briggs, Tillman, etc. missed games due to injury. He named the people that are the backups at those positions and it was a pretty scary list. There is no real back-up plan in place at many of our crucial positions. That, if nothing else, should be getting someones attention in the front office, I would think. If JA actually has a 'plan' for this roster it's not a obvious one.

To be fair, you can't have good backups everywhere. Ask Bill Polian.

OK. But is there one position on defense where we know that we're okay in case of injury? When 5 UDFA's make the final roster of a team that says a lot about the lack of talent that's already there, doesn't it.

Honestly I think it's going to take a Colt like collapse to even consider JA leaving. Even then it may be iffy. But with him leaving and a collapse we would have a new GM and high picks to build from.
