Wolf, I never bought into him being elite; his stats(not totals, but averages) were not drastically better then KO's when we traded for him. And w/out question he had much better talent around him. Now he's a better qb then KO w/out question, but he's not elite. If he had surrounding talent he would be much closer then KO though. Problem is we don't have the surrounding talent. Nor do we have a OC that has a clue on how to use a guy w/this abilities. We can win w/him; but not until we get a solid OL and at least one legit WR.

Glad you mentioned this. So what did the Hawks do ? First they drafted well. Then they brought in old Red Wings nemesis Scotty Bowman and he went to work applying the Red Wings model to build a championship team. Add in better scouting, a better no-nonsense coach, picking up the right free agents, having depth on the entire team etc ..... and presto and thank you very much. What NFL team does this sound like ?
This same MODEL has the Hawks pipeline stacked for the future. In the pros part of your pipeline is grooming guys who are currently subs into future starters. How many of these do the Bears have. And what, EXACTLY, is their model ? I don't see one.
Go get someone from a successful franchise, someone with a proven model from which to build the Bears, and let him go to work. Or expect more of the same-ole-same-o , and more years of wasted time.
What should you call any : Fumble , Hold , Interception , Three and out , or Sack ?

    A " F.H.I.T.S " ? or a J'Marcus ?
