    "That's On Me."

    Just look at the merriment:

“I’ve got to make a smarter decision,” Graham said. “It was a great call by us, and it was unfortunate to have it called back in that situation.”

“Plain and simple: unacceptable,” Knox said. “I got to catch that. As a receiver, that’s my job. I should have caught it. Simple as that.”

“It was a good ball,” Roy Williams said. “I dropped that ball. It was a good play by him. NFL receiver, you got to catch that ball. That’s on me. That one is on me.”

“That’s just me. I got to make sure I’m paying more attention to the cadence and make sure I get the communication down before. That’s all me,” Omiyale said. “I’m definitely going to get that fixed because that’s not something I want hanging over my head.”

“We just didn’t make plays,” Peppers said. “There’s no explanation for why we didn’t get the job done. We just didn’t get it done.”

“I’m not making any excuses,” coach Lovie Smith said. “They were better than us. We have to regroup.”

Knowing our ineptness on offense we will chase Cutler out of town in favor of Williams. :pukeinmymouth:

Plain and simple Roy is Martz' guy and they all come here to fail.

    JAY CUTLER, QB

On overall take on how offense went today
“A lot of miscues, there were spurts of good football, and just inconsistent. Against a team like that, you’re never going to beat them.”

    On protection today
”Really good. We didn’t run the ball really at all, and they were dropping eight, nine guys so those guys gave me all the time in the world. They did really well.”

On how it’s been 59 years since Bears team has rushed for so few yards, was the game plan to come in and not run the ball or did you audible out
“I don’t audible, so no. You’re going to have to ask someone else about that. I don’t do the game plan.”

On if they can win like this
“We are 0-2 doing this so it’s not looking very good.”

On what was done well today as an offense
”There were spurts. We’ve got to be consistent. There were things we did well, and we were clicking on other things. Penalties, interceptions, miscues, missed blocks. If we go down the line everyone probably had a mistake, so until we put together a full game and we’re consistent and we’re balanced, it’s going to be tough for us to win, even though the defense is playing lights out.

On developing rapport with (Dane) Sanzenbacher and Roy Williams
“Not a lot of time with Roy. It didn’t happen overnight. Missing camp, injuries. He’s still a little bit sore. Until we put some real time in there and we get some practices and we get some reps, and everyone’s comfortable it’s hard. You can ask any quarterback. Dane is a guy since day one has been out there running with the one’s and really competing so that’s just how it goes.”

On taking things in and out of the game plan
“Oh I don’t know. It’s so hit and miss with what we are doing well and what we aren’t doing well that I don’t even know where to begin there.”

On if he feels the offense is in a hole on third downs
“Well you look at the stats and its not very favorable on the offensive side if you’re going to be third and six, third and seven plus, it’s tough. You’re almost in a must throw situation right there and they’re going to drop eight guys, nine guys and there aren’t a lot of holes. That happened to us today.”

On if this offense has an identity yet
“The first game we were clicking and the last two games we have been kind of misfiring and here and there. Until we are a little more consistent I guess we don’t.”

On keying on (Matt) Forte as a rusher and receiver
“He’s the only running back we have back there so they are going to key on him. We just have to find ways to get him the ball, get him rushes, get him touches, get him going because he is an explosive player and I feel bad for him because he wants the ball; he wants to help out and we aren’t giving him a lot of opportunities.”

On being able to get down field efficiently on the first touchdown drive and what the Packers did after that
“They started dropping guys. They started really zoning us out, really pushing us back. They were going to give us everything underneath and they weren’t going to let us [get plays down the field]. Ten-plus [yards] they were just sitting in holes waiting for us, so it was going to have to be a chip away and we were going to have to run the ball a little bit and kind of get them to suck back up, but we were never able to.”

    JOHNNY KNOX, WR

On the Packers play against the run
"They took away our run game a little bit. They forced us to pass it. When you get behind a little bit – like last week – you've got to put the ball in the air and get quick scores and we just didn't get our run game going like we should've today."

On the dropped pass in the fourth quarter
"Unacceptable - plain and simple like I told him (Jay Cutler). I'm a receiver. I've got to catch that ball. Simple as that."

On the play of the offense
"A lot of things to clean up as far as my opinion, because we lost. We left points out there. We got in the red zone; we didn't put it in there like we should have."

    MATT FORTE, RB

On what Green Bay did to stop the Bears running attack
"We didn't play well at all. I think maybe three or four times when I got the ball there wasn't any errors, just a tackle for loss and then after that we just didn't play well as a whole team."

On why the Bears didn't run the ball more
"We didn't run the ball because we weren't able to. We just played bad out there. Obviously, when they shut the run down, you are going to try to throw the ball a little more. So it just didn't happen."

On if he would have liked to get more passes out of the back field
"I don't care either way. It doesn't matter if it's a run or a pass."

On the loss to the Packers
"It's tough because it's a division opponent so now we've got to play catch up."

On where the team is at three games into the season
"We came out pretty well in the first game, but the last two weeks we haven't played well as an offense at all. Defense is playing pretty well; we just haven't been able to help them out by putting points on the board. It's as simple as that."

    LANCE BRIGGS, LB

    On the Bears' defensive performance
"It's early on. I don't look at it that Green Bay didn't do great. We both played decent football at times. Obviously, we didn't play the way we needed to, to win the game. Defensively, we can't give up 27 points and expect to win the game."

    On committing costly penalties
"You know, there were a lot of penalties on both sides of the ball and that is uncharacteristic of Chicago Bear football. It killed us on third down by jumping offside. I jumped offside to start the game on a possible pick for Peanut (Tillman)."

    On the Packers' opening-game drive
"It is a four quarter game. Things that happen in that first quarter jump out at us. We always look forward to finishing strong and we didn't do that."

    On taking away something positive
"It is early on. We'll see them again and we have a lot of opportunities to get better. We will do that working toward Carolina."

    BRIAN URLACHER, LB

    On the two defensive turnovers
"We'd like to get them earlier. I don't know why we didn't. It's not like we didn't try; we just didn't get there."

On the interception of Packers' QB Aaron Rodgers
"I was just doing my zone drop. I happened to be in the right area."

    On losing to the Packers
"They are all tough. None is any different from another. We just need to play better. It's tough losing at home like that to a [North] Division opponent. We just need to play better, that's all there is to it. We didn't make enough plays on defense. We're going to have to play better to beat these good teams."

On the play of Packers' offensive personnel
"As long as No. 12 is going to be playing quarterback, it doesn't matter who they have in there. I think you saw that last year. (Greg) Jennings and (Donald) Driver have always been there, but the other guys are just faces. Jermichael Finley is a big target. He's an athletic guy, but Rodgers makes them go."

    ROBERTO GARZA, C

On the frustration of not being able to run the ball
"The frustration is from not winning the game. We made too many mistakes and against a good football team, we can't do that. If we rush for four yards it doesn't really matter. Obviously, if we lose, we do have to do a better job at running the ball, protecting Jay (Cutler), and a better job at everything. We're not doing that. We're not taking advantage of opportunities that the opponent is giving us. We have to correct it."

    On fixing problems
"We have to watch the film and correct the mistakes that we've made. We've faced two good football teams and we can't make mistakes against good football teams. We have to get ready to face another team in the Panthers this week. Anytime you face someone in the NFL, you know that they are going to be ready to play."

Cutler is being a good teammate : the defense is not playing lights out right now.
What should you call any : Fumble , Hold , Interception , Three and out , or Sack ?

    A " F.H.I.T.S " ? or a J'Marcus ?

They held GD to 20 though 3??? And only giving up 27 on the day....the D played well enough to give Cutler and the O more then a fighting chance...I thought the days of needing shutouts and a few field goals to win were over...
