There's enough talent there but no matter what it's not gonna overcome a bad blocking scheme. As Butka pointed out that was a bad blocking scheme. Once again how much of that was made necessary because Carimi and Louis were missing. Both proved to be pretty good run blockers when they were healthy.

I don't think it's so much fairy dust as it is him doing the best he can with what he's given work with. Just listen to Angelo crow about how he and the Bears did very well in procuring Oline help. Come one there isn't a person who follows the Bears who believes that.
Tice is forced to start two former 7th round picks who are reputedly very athletic but somehow seem to lack the fundamental technical skills you usually find in NFL lineman. OK, so there was a reason they lasted until the 7th round then. These guys aren't miracles that every othe team missed. They probably can play far better than what you'd expect given how low they went but that doesn't make them good.
Angelo flubbed his chance to add two vets this offseason so what else can Tice do? He's has to work with what he has and do his level best to at least instill some confidence in these guys as a substitute for what they don't have in skill and experience. Let's face it mo, Angelo's theory on how to build on Oline sucks and it shows.
If we're gonna fall back to a .500 ballclub I don't want it to be with Mike Martz at the offensive helm. He's the equivalent of the NFL Anti-Christ to me.

Hey if he is so great why is the oline ranked deAd last both years he is here? It's the same guys no progression. If he is so great he would at least get them to play serviceable. Where did this notion that he is great come from?

Fun fact of day
Cam Newton -- 80 yards rushing; Cutler, Bell, Forte, et al. -- 73
ZachZaidman Zach Zaidman
The Bears have rushed for a total of 73 yards over the last 2 games. During that time, Cam Newton has rushed for 80
How's that for a fun fact which proves fairy dust is the damn shiznit

Let's forget about what was and look at what is. There are no budding all-pros but so far I'd have to say that they've been serviceable and that's about it. Remember Tice can't completely control the fact that Martz is calling 7 step drops against 6 and 7 man rushes. Five Olineman can't block 6 or 7 guys no matter how good they are.
This week when the Packers didn't blitz as often the number of sacks drops. Some of it is attributable to Martz's offense which incurs a lot of sacks anyway and some to his stupid play calling. When you average throwing the ball 40 times a game and the other guys know it you're gonna get sacked.
As for the running game this week it was a stupid blocking scheme. Butka is right. Plays took way too long to develop and you can't do that againt that Packer defense anymore than you can against ours. Notice that Starks who runs a lot like Forte didn't do well either whereas Grant made yardage right up the gut which is Kahlil Bell's strong point. Part poor execution but also a really fucked game plan and play calling again.

Every starter we have on the O-line would be subs ( if that ) on 98% of the other teams in the league. Nuff said.
What should you call any : Fumble , Hold , Interception , Three and out , or Sack ?
A " F.H.I.T.S " ? or a J'Marcus ?

I'm not so sure that carimi would be "just a sub" on any other o-line in the nfl......
"Professional Armchair Quarterback" and other oxymora.....

What i wonder is why Martz has such a "say so" with our GM. Is lovie as passive behind the scenes as his on-field demeanor indicates? Obviously he didn't get his point across between the Packer and Saints games like he did last year (makes me wonder who actually talked to him). If there's one offensive coach i'm listening to as GM, it's Tice, and as far as defense goes, I'm asking Rivera for hints and tidbits.

JA&LovieDovie are goinong to scape goat the hell out of Matrz and double D to keep their jobs secure.
