With the exception of Garza I'd say that's probably true and he would probably have to move back to OG to keep his starting slot elsewhere. That's what has me so pissed of at the lack of success Angelo had getting vet lineman in FA.

How much better off would we be if we had a depth chart like this.

    LT; Bushrod, Webb
LG; Williams, Garza (or maybe the other way around)
    OC; Kruetz, Garza
    RG; Colon, Louis
    RT; Carimi, Webb

Compare that 8 to what we have now and what angers me is that it could have been done if JA had made it a priority. Even with Carimi hurt we could have moved Colon back to RT and Garza to RG. OMG would be nowhere to be found and we'd have both quality and depth. All we had to do was make Bushrod and Colon offers they couldn't turn down and neither case would that have been anywhere near top dollar or unafordable given our cap situation. JA fvcked up!

If there's one offensive coach i'm listening to as GM, it's Tice, and as far as defense goes, I'm asking Rivera for hints and tidbits.
Who in the hell knows what goes on behind the scenes with that bunch. All I know is that with most any other HC if you were told as OC to balance your play calling and you actually passed even more you'd have been out the door Monday morning. I've given up trying to figure out what in the hell drives Lovie Smith. This is the second woefully mismatched OC he's brought in and if he lets this continue Martz is gonna ruin the offense and Cutler before he's through.

Remember Tice can't completely control the fact that Martz is calling 7 step drops against 6 and 7 man rushes. Five Olineman can't block 6 or 7 guys no matter how good they are.

This week when the Packers didn't blitz as often the number of sacks drops. Some of it is attributable to Martz's offense which incurs a lot of sacks anyway and some to his stupid play calling. When you average throwing the ball 40 times a game and the other guys know it you're gonna get sacked.

As for the running game this week it was a stupid blocking scheme. Butka is right. Plays took way too long to develop and you can't do that againt that Packer defense anymore than you can against ours. Notice that Starks who runs a lot like Forte didn't do well either whereas Grant made yardage right up the gut which is Kahlil Bell's strong point. Part poor execution but also a really fucked game plan and play calling again.
its a stupid blocking scheme that the "best" oline coach called lol how does that happen if you are the best

and Im sorry we had the worst rated LT and worst rated RT last season. Talent is one thing but having the worst isnt getting them to play serviceable.

That part is true and unfortunately due to Carimi's injury one is still starting although I do see some improvement in Webb so far. I still think Webb's problem has nothing to do with what below his shoulders. It's what's between his ears that's the issue. The reason he ended up going from the U of Texas to West Bumfuck A&M was because he was a scholastic disaster. You don't need to be Rhodes Scholar (or Norman Einstein, LOL) to play LT but you should at least know the snap count and who you're supposed to be blocking.

How much of the blocking scheme is Martz and how much is Tice? I can't answer that question but if we can find Butka I'm betting he can. Does the OC design blocking schemes and the Line Coach just teach them or does the Line Coach design schemes for that offense? I'm willing to bet Martz has his hand in that too.

Others may have said or implied that he was "the best" Oline coach but I never did. In my eyes he's good but to me the best is Alex Gibbs the guy who coached the blocking scheme that made 1000 yard+ rushers out of Denver's late round picks like Terrell Davis. Denver hasn't had a decent running game since he left. With a back like Forte that's exactly what we should be running. A one cut, cut back running attack that creates room for Forte to get into his stride and moves. He's not very elusive but he can deke a guy out and glide around him.
