LOL, I was about to say the same about what I've been posting this week. You beat me to it. Curse you "Red Baron". Thought I might toss this read in too. Here's how another Bears fan sees it and there are a ton more just like it.

Just one more fans opinion and he hits the nail square on the head. There's nothing wrong with managing the cap through these so called "value picks" but you can't build an entire team out of them as he attempts to at times.

As both the article and I have pointed out this week any other GM with the obvious needs of the Bears and $34 mil in excess cap space would have had a field day rebuilding the offensive line from FA given the quantity and the quality of the players available. Jerry comes away with zilch and rather than admitting his flub he wants us to believe he loved these guys all along. Please stop insulting my intelligence by the fact that you have none Jerry Angelo.

As this fan points out we hired a bargain basement GM but pay him like he's some kind of genius for finding these tremendous bargains. So far the only 2011 free agent bargain I can see may be Okoye and the reason he's a Bears has more to do with Rod Marinelli than it does with Jerry Angelo. Once again the Bears management and ownership are becoming the laughingstock of the league.

I'm now in the same boat as 4th and a lot of the rest of you. I won't stop bitching about this guy here and anywhere else I think it might get the attention of ownership until the stupid bastard is gone.

Ron Rago · South Suburban CollegeI am a great Bears Fan-atic and have been for 35 years....but I'm not drinking this KoolAid anymore. Jerry Angelo and his 12 years of "Value Picks" has this team where it is today.....pure mediocracy. Time for a new general manager who will provide the pieces this coaching staff needs to get the results they expect. Angelo loves to tinker and would like people to believe he has the "Third Eye" of the football world.....with and edge of knowledge and wisdom over all the other coaches and general managers....value picking players that other intelligent coaches know aren't elite level players. Then he sends his franchise quarterback who takes his life in his hands every Sunday behind Jerry's "Value Offensive Line".....out to the media to tell them they "just need to get better....we are almost there".....I know Jay is doing what he's told......but it's time for Jerry Angelo to stop hiding behind his quarterback and sending him out to man the "Kool-Aid Stand".....The writing is on the wall and I hope Bears ownership see's him for what he is.....they "value picked" when they hired him as the general manager......terminate this guys contract and hire someone who knows how to build a championship team......the fans have suffered enough with this guys "expertise" as a coupon clipper.

I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

What should you call any : Fumble , Hold , Interception , Three and out , or Sack ?

    A " F.H.I.T.S " ? or a J'Marcus ?

and the pat's weren't doing anything special before then; nor the colts or the ravens...none of them were looked at as benchmarks of the nfl. stealers and pack yes. But you can see how the team is happy w/his work.....

Yea, during his tenure we are about on par with the Tennessee Titans ( you can look it up ). That name really strikes fear don't it ?
And so it goes ... and goes ... and goes.
    Where will it end ?
    Nobody knows.

I think we all agree that a change at the top is essential after his failures this offseason. Jerry is a master of misdirection so he always points proudly to what worked and just claims to be pleased with what didn't. Well enough damage control though I fear Phillips will do nothing if his contract doesn't have a buy out provision.

About the only choice we Bears fans have is to continue pointing those failures out here and by encouraging writers like this guy to keep it up long enough for it to sink in somewhere around Halas Hall. When I compare him to the only two other GM's we've had since Muggs Halas died, Jim Finks and Jerry Vainisi, Angelo sucks. It's really no surprise he's rated just slightly below Al Davis as one of the worst GM in the league.

FOX likes to pick on the BEARS, wish they would start ripping on JackAss for where the team is. I'd even be OK with some madeup headlines, not that they would need to.
