Also, its not just the fact we lost...its HOW WE LOST. Yes...that still matters. If it was a close game where we went back and forth and lost by a FG or a TD...then thats one thing, we could hang our heads high for putting up a good fight against a good team. But we didnt *just* lose...we got showed how weak our team really is.

But we made it to the NFC championship game last year with this offense.

while facing a record setting amount of 2nd and 3rd string qb's. And we are missing our qb's favorite target from last year Olsen, and our center Kruetz; and so far it's showing.

Exactly! When your opponent controls the ball for over 37 minutes of a 60 minute game there is nothing about your offense that's working well. Martz can say whatever he wants about it being close had one play or another clicked but that TOP differential tells the story far better. The Bears can't depend on 80 yard TD passes and punt returns to win games and leave the defense on the field for the majority of the game to hold the fort. It won't work.

Ain't that the truth. In an offseason where serious offensive upgrades were needed both in pass blocking and pass receiving we traded off Kruetz for Spencer and Olsen for Williams, LMFAO! Nice one Jer.
I honestly think that Cutler could do as well with Kellen Davis if Martz would use him more often as a receiver and not as a blocker. From what I've seen so far he's little better than Olsen at that but he showed some real athleticism and power in YAC on the TD grab. So far he's had two TD pass receptions out of three passes thrown to him in the last two games against the Packers. Green Bay finds out that we can't cover Finley and they kill us with him. We find that the Packers have the same problem with Davis but Martz all but ignores him.
Can anybody think or a reason for keeping Martz around? I don't think he has a clue as to what he's doing and he's either watching a different game than we are or just plain zonked out. Like I said before the only thing that looked good while the offense was on the field was the turf beneath their feet. Nice and green and no bare spots.
