The same formula that got us to the Super Bowl....
Run the ball effectively, stout defense (though our D was uncharacteristically bad today) and excellent special teams play (returns and excellent punting and place-kicking).
Getting Jay Cutler got us off track. We started having dreams of 350yds passing and 100+ QB ratings. THAT. IS. NOT. BEAR. FOOTBALL. And it never will be.
Mike Martz: stick to what you did today. Run the hell out of Forte and Barber. Throw to keep the other team off balance and of course in long-yardage situations. Screw passing yards. Screw QB ratings. This is about ball-control and ball-control has ALWAYS been winning NFL football. We don't need Jay to match Aaron Rodgers throw-for-throw. With this receiving corps and O-line, that's impossible anyway. We need Jay to cut down on the INTs and make key throws in key spots. We basically need him to be what Grossman was without the propensity for 3+ INT games.
If you keep doing this (the D will improve), we can make a Super Bowl run. You see that it works. You see what the Forte/Barber combo can do. KEEP DOING IT!!
