Defensive pass yards allowed per game:
Bears: 301.5
Lions: 221.3
Defensive rush yards allowed per game:
Bears: 124.5
Lions: 113.0
For the Bears to win:
The Bears O-line will need to control the Lions defensive line. Good luck. And, if Martz is calling those crazy, deep routes, Cutler will be in for a LONG day. And thankfully Barber is back, because Forte may take a beating in this game.
Score first. If the Bears are playing catch-up, I do not see them winning. I do not think the Bears could accidentally find quick-strike scoring capabilities. They will have to get out in front, stay in front, and control the ball.
Field position. If the Bears can manage good field position, they could actually win the game. However, if they are starting from their (20) all game, I do not see them finding the end-zone once.
Stupid crap. If the Bears begin to accumulate penalites. The game is over. More so if it is pointless personal foul garbage.
And, the defense needs to actually show up on the FIRST drive of the game...
That is about it...

Lions are piss poor in the run game, and not so great in Run D either...so if the Bears can control the clock and run the ball successfully like they did last week, then its in their favor.
Also, our defense is going to need to step up. They have been letting opposing QBs pick them apart all year, and that has to stop. And, even with a lead, it will still come down to the final minutes of the game, since Detroit has a nasty ability to stage late game comebacks apparently.

It could be wacky enough to end in a tie

I say we go for the hat trick and break Stafford for a 3rd year in a row.

In my heart I want the Bears to win,but I have a bad feeling about this one.
If Stafford can survive the rush,it's going to be a dogfight.
Special teams and turnovers may decide this one.
Traditionally the Bears have held Johnson in check,I'd feel better if I knew Chris Harris was a go.
Meriwether might go guided missile in this one.
Megatron with alligator arms would suit me just fine.

To me it's up to the defense to keep the Lions as far away from the red zone as they can. Once they get to that point who in the hell is gonna cover Megatron on those jump ball passes to the endzone. That's where he kills teams. Keep them out of that situation and we probably win if the offense can muster 30 points.
Bears 30
Lions 24

I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.
