Yeah...by all means, please, compare our WR to THAT guy. What a crock. Why not compare it to something more valid....like i dunno, AVERAGE reception yards/TDs. Seems like a more valid comparison then to simply point out that our WRs have less production then someone who has gaudy production numbers.
I think the point that he was trying to make is that the Bears WR's haven't been very productive and yes he used an example that stretches reality. We know that Welker's production won't stay that high. But there are WR's whose individual production is 80% to 90% of what the Bears top three are combined. There's Steve Smith with 530 yds/92% or Mike Wallace with 454yds/79% and Smith is playing with a rookie QB!

I think what he's trying to point out is that it takes three of our WR's to equal the prduction of just one of the top pass catchers in the NFL or in other words we lack something in the receiving department which is something we all realize.

Only as a return man Adi. Teams have to account for Hester but he hasn't proven all that hard to cover if he's lined up against their #1 or #2 CB. Now line him up in the slot and force other teams to cover him with their #3CB/NB or a Safety and see what happens.

I think the problem with Hester as a WR is more where they play him than whether or not he can be productive. I think he can if they used him right. That's a big part of the problem with this whole offense. Lot's of square pegs trying to fit into round holes.

Because of this offense being a liability to the team in the way that it is, I can see us finishing with as good of a record as 10-6, or going as badly as 6-10 or 7-9. If we have a losing season this year, I look for Lovie Smith to be fired while Jerry Angelo gets off once again scott-free. Jerry Angelo always comes out of these scenarios smelling like a rose.

Sadly, the defense sucks just as much as the offense.
