Merriweather is what NE thought he was.

I would say that by the way Calvin Johnson blew by him like he was running in place that his hammy is still a problem. Chris Harris is no speed demon but he's not that slow. As a frame of reference look at how fast Meriweather was coming on in pursuit compared to how Harris was moving. He's still not 100% and the Lions exposed that and took advantage.
Did you see how he looked in the camera shot on the sidelines? He knew he got burned and he was upset that he let it happen after all he said this week about how to defend Johnson. The ironic thing is that Matt Bowen wrote an article that I posted about this very thing. He said the burden of keeping Calvin Johnson away from making a big play fell to the safety who had coverage on top. That was Harris and he simpy didn't have the burst to recover. On another day he would have defended that pass.

He shouldn't have been playing then , and that's on our dumbass HC.
What should you call any : Fumble , Hold , Interception , Three and out , or Sack ?
A " F.H.I.T.S " ? or a J'Marcus ?

They needed his leadership and figured the might be able to hide his lack of a complete recovery and except for that play we seemed to get away with it. Players play at less than 100% all the time and teams try to exploit them. It's the nature of the game. Besided that one play would have been easily overcome if we had any kind of an offense at all.

There were many other plays where he bonked , some pass, some coming up on run support . If u have the tape and feel like re-watching it .... he'll um,er, stand-out if u know what i mean.

If it's any consolation, no one is taking Harris' performance today, harder than Chris Harris. The kid truly loves being a Bear.
