Lions, their pretty damn good, and if the wildcard comes out of the North, it's going to be them and it won't be close. The Lions have done for their young stud qb what the Bears have failed to do, surrounded him w/really good talent. I'll take JC all over Stafford, but you wouldn't know it b/c one has Megatron/Petigrew and an OL. Their DL is as advertised; if they can get a few DB's that are worth a damn they will be a real problem for years to come....really the whole team will be.

Yes, the Lions are a good team...not great, but Playoff good at least.
Their DL is as advertised. they are doing what WE are supposed to be: getting pressure with just their front 4.
Rest of the D is "ok." They arent pulling in INTs left and right, but they do ok. Good offenses can burn them though.
Megatron is one of the top WRs in the league.
Stafford is a decent QB. Not a world-beater, but good enough to get them where they are going. Id put him between a Rex Grossman and a Jay Cutler. (Jay would put up ridiculous numbers with that OL and CJ).
Rest of the offense is pretty good..Best is a decent RB.

Bears O. OL sucks...Omy/Webb are fail.

The hell they can. Forte got yards because Forte is a beast. He still had a bunch of run up the guts for 1y loss type runs as well. And the penetration their DL got on some run plays was ridiculous, got tackled IMMEDIATELY after getting the handoff. Dont let Forte's ridiculousness fool you into thinking our OL can run block.

if Tice was so damn great, he could get them to do both; I know there isn't a lot of talent, but there is enough to make them look decent at run blocking, so there should be enough to have them at least be competent at pass blocking. Forte is a stud, it's a shame he's going to ruin himself on such a awful team, 5.3 ypr that's elite. I said during the offseason that I liked Hurd the most out of the 3 we got out of Dallas, I think he could actually help this WR crew, and I think today was the start of something good for him, at least I hope. Cutler, man you give him the weapons/OL of GB/Det and he would be fine; what we have, I actually feel for jerkface.
Bears D. You just got lit up by a team that couldn't run on a bad college team....you officially are over paid; I'd say over rated, but your in the bottom 4th of the league, which is right where you belong. For a scheme that is set up to not give the big plays, you got eaten by it....not just this game either, all year. DB's are laughable, LB's are laughable, DL is laughable. There is officially no reason NOT to see Paea out there at this point in time.
Coaches, you are also fail. How do you use 2 TO's in the first qtr b/c again you cannot get the play in; then lose the 3rd on a challenge that stood no chance to succeed. Stupid. Those might have done you some good when you got that INT w/40 sec's left....oh wait, Lovie would have been happy to take a knee regarless....and that's if you could have even got the plays in. Pathetic. If there is one reason to clear house, The first qtr was a snapshot of it.

I dont know which team was more undisciplined with the flags...us or them. Both were pretty pitiful.
And worst play of the season...going for it on that 4th down instead of kicking the FG, then CHALLENGING it, and losing our last TO. Ridiculous.

I don't think we are the lions from a few years ago; I think we are the Vikings. Before Farve, 3rd in line....I hope.


To be fair I was going off the last two weeks combined, I was assuming that w/Fortte's stats the holes were there like they were against Carolina. But if it was mostly Forte, I would believe that.



Not enough can be said about how bad the coaching staff is....to lose 3 TO's in the first qtr on the same drive is pathetic. To not get points on the board instead of going for it on 4th in the other teams dome is dumb. This was a Must need win and you go and do something like that?

and you are right about the Lions. I feel like they are what the 2001 Bears were. They are doing good this year against allot of average teams come next year they will be meh again
