Howdy, Jeff Pearlman here.
So now that the dust has sorta settled and the heated talk (not from this board—just in general) has died down, I'd love to know what people have read the book think of it. I don't mind criticism at all—if you hated it, do tell ...
Also wanna say how much I appreciate this place. You guys have been extremely fair ...

Jeff, I feel for you man, and you are a brave soul. This site is livid over that loss, and your the local whipping boy right now, 2nd only to the team.
I plan on reading the book; haven't had a chance yet. I don't think it will be near as bad as some are acting. I hope to all heavens that it has a lot of the style as your deadspin article; that was great and made me decide to get the book.
Your skin is obviously thick...I think it's going to get thicker from the beating your going to take for another month or so.

lol @ yet another thread about this. Extra lol @ the people who think "you can't say anything if you don't read it". I don't read the cult book offerings at the airport either. It could be a good book or bad but respect the fact that it may not be well received and have some tact in the whole attention whore thingy.

Wow...glad to see the rest of DBS are able to conduct themselves like respectful adults instead of little brats. I mean seriously...if you guys dont like what he wrote...then DONT BUY THE BOOK. Problem solved. Acting like dicks on the internet isnt going to unwrite the book or change the factual bits of what he wrote.
But yes...please go on with your bad selfs.
Jeff...havent picked up the book yet, might not get it til the holidays, so cant give you a critique. Thanks for stopping by though, unlike my fellow posters here...you have shown nothing but class and respect towards us when you have posted. Some may not agree with what you wrote or why you wrote it, but that still doesnt excuse their attitudes. So tkae that as an a apology, since im fairly certain you wont get one from them.

You want a comment Jeff besides go F yourself. I wouldn't spend one nickel of my money on your book. No matter how definitive you claim it needed to be it's nothing more than maxed out trash journalism for profit. You could have skipped the expose but then you wouldn't have sold near as many books would you?

don't lump #1 poster w/the douches after #1. I was nice and respectfull, just honest that Mr. Perlman was F'n crazy to come in here after that embarrasment of a game.
