In the NFL, a deal that averages about $6 million a season gets a running back closer to good than great. Consider that Steven Jackson and DeAngelo Williams get an average of $8.6 million on their latest deals, while Chris Johnson and Adrian Peterson average over $13 and $14 million, respectively.
Split the difference, offer him 9-10m a year, with a shit load guaranteed, maybe 20M for "services rendered"
what a joke. Forte is our Offense... He is a Top5 RB - pay him like a Top5 RB
Top 5 RB? He IS the top RB in the NFL right now. I might not pay him like Adrian Peterson or Chris Johnson just yet until he has another season or so like the one he is currently putting together, but I'd pay him like a top 5 running back.
