I am dead serious. With the crap we have around him, with the beating we allow him to take on a weekly basis, how confident are you that he will want to stay when his contract is up?
I think he has one year left on his deal after this year.

You have a good point. The Bears have pretty failed at protecting Jay and will continue to damage his career, and that's not right at all.
Honestly? Yes, if you factor in the years it would take to build an offense around him and if he wants a SB. Have to fix both the offense and an aging defense and start all over again sad to say. If you keep him he will be battered and have yet another OC. If he stays he will be injury prone, shell shocked and eroding technique.
Thanks JA!
Ideally we clean house and Jay buys-in to what the new regime is selling.
Pit, unless they draft offensive linemen for every round, he won't buy in lol.
You're probably right.:(
But if he leaves he's gonna have to learn a new offense anyways. Really it should come down to wether his heart is in it ( staying here ) or not. And that's going to depend on what direction he think's the Bears are going. If JA is still here ( God forbid ) would you think he's going to draft the O-linemen needed ? I wouldn't cuz he has a defense 1st philosophy. Think that's gonna change ? Don't kid yourself ..... and Jay shouldn't either. I wouldn't trust the guy as far as I can throw my car.. ever. Sad. Because the guy WOULD be great with the line and the weapons he needs. I wouldn't waste my career knowing this dumbass is the boss.
He would learn an offense preferable to his skills and abilities. Would you stay here if your line got you battered week after week, a GM that barely pays attention to the offensive side of the ball? Then your onto yet another OC Martz who won't help you out by rolling out etc, is pass happy which is more wear and tear with WR weapons that wont work AND your best weapon was traded.
I think it wouldn't take Nostradamus to see the future here if it were me. I'd be outta here.
Let's face it with Urlacher nearing the end of his run #6 is set to be the face of the Chicago franchise. And as the face I think if the Bears clean house he may have some influence as to the direction or preference of coaching. I don't think he is tradeable IMO we gave up a lot for him and we've seen flashes we just need to surround him with a legit #1 WR and some serious line help. Bears are his childhood team I couldn't think of a place he'd rather play and I hope they get him back to Pro Bowl form.
