These graybeards have had their chances in the playoffs resulting in .... close but no cigar. Time to get a new generation into the mix and get them the experience they need. The re-build should start now, not next year.
I don't agree with that sentiment at all. And I'm not talking about giving young players a shot, I'm talking about your reasoning for doing it. No way do you EVER give up on a season 5 games into it. I don't care if you are 0-5. Yeah, we have 3 losses. One to GB, the undefeated defending superbowl champs, the other remaining undefeated team (detroit), and the saints. All three powerhouses right now. The lions have the tougher part of their schedule still remaining. The idea that we give up on this season at this point is ignorant. I'd love to see how many playoff contenders started out 2-3 over the last 10 years. I can't even fathom how anyone thinks that its logical to give up 5 games into the season.

Yer stance is admirable no doubt. But I'm just being realistic. This team has a QB and a RB on offense and basically not much else. I'm done with the Hester is a WR garbage and the rest would be average at best even with a great O-line. The D is playing uninspired FB and some of the talent is way over-rated ( reality has set in for me ) or just getting old.
Does it 'feel' like they're gonna turn it around ? Doesn't for me. Been watching fb for too long and I know it when I see it. I'd be happy to eat crow, but not even a little bit concerned that i'm gonna have to. Peace out.
What should you call any : Fumble , Hold , Interception , Three and out , or Sack ?
A " F.H.I.T.S " ? or a J'Marcus ?

I do understand where you are coming from. My only disagreement is on the timing. If it was 8 games in, and we were 2-6, then I'd agree. I definitely have my doubts. The D is getting old (at least the meat of our D, Lach, Briggs, Peppers, Pnut) the O has major issues, etc. However I think there's reason to still have some hope. For one, the quality of our opponents has been crazy so far. Martz could (yeah its a stretch) change gameplans to work with our strengths. Teams do turn it around, and I think we still can. If it turns out that we are 2-6 then I'll admit that I was wrong, lol.

Bdm the only one being really benched is meariweather cause he has been by far worse player on defense. Like he is the omyale of the defense. Now Chris Harris I think is just not healthy by the way I saw him play so he will just be the emergency guy until he heals
I dont think they r giving up

Maybe we'll get lucky and he'll get the axe before next April. God knows he deserves it. Saying this team has all the talent it needs and believing it should be grounds for a quick trip to the nearest psych ward.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

Yeah, I don't think they are either. I didn't get to see the game on Monday, so I didn't see harris play. Hopefully he gets back to 100 percent soon.

He said this team has all the talent it needs ? This guy doesn't give a flyin-fk about anything but keeping his job so the paychecks keep coming in, and he's willing to use every lie in the book ( disguised in phony sincerity ) to do it with. After the shit job he's done here, he knows that no one else is going to be dumb enough to hire him and he'll be out of the big boys club. He was lucky the Bears were dumb enough to hire him in the first place and he knows it. He'd be lucky if someone were dumb enough to even give him a job as a scout. He's going to get fired someday and it can't be soon enough. The guy is a FOS / POS who couldn't spot talented football players if his life depended on it. We'd have better luck with a monkey throwing darts at a dartboard.
