    Maybe. But that's not what 4th asked.

    And Rivera was hired a week after Smith. It would be odd for a GM to hire a DC without an OK from the HC. Rivera spent a couple of seasons with Smith, regardless.

    Eh, no. Chan Gailey is coaching the Bills.

    And Fewell served as an interim HC after Jauron got canned mid-season. He didn't go through an interview and selection process and was let go at the end of the season.

    Technically, by the question, Fewell did 'become' a head coach, so you're right. I'm just stickling the details.
