I need to ask a question...!!!
In all seriousness, and ONLY reviewing their time with the Bears as OC, what is the difference between Terry Shea and Mike Martz...???

One lives off a past where they had HoF'rs at every key position.

Shea may have had a better Oline to work with but the QB's, ouch. What blows my mind is that Lovie has always insisted that he wants a run oriented offense but keeps approving the hire of OC's who are known for passing with reckless abandon. Now add to that his and Angelo's insistence that they get along and are always on the same page and something doesn't add up does it.
I think there's a lot more friction there right now than we'll ever know about. Reading about what great buddies JA and Belicheat are makes me wonder if Lovie had much say in the decision to sign Meriweather. He's benched him awfully fast for someone who was his choice. Look at how long he suffered throught Archuletta's play before he made a change. Lovie didn't want JA to lose Olin Kruetz either and I sure am wondering what he thinks about Jerry screwing around with the extension of a guy who's 50% of his offense.
I don't think things are anywhere near as buddy buddy as the picture those two paint.

Shea was history after a SINGLE season. Martz must be blowing somebody, because he sure as hell outstayed his invitation. They really need to get rid of EVERYONE except Toub...

This could get very interesting in the offseason if Lovie doesn't get fired which I can't see happening even if we go 5-11.
Martz isn't signed for 2012 period and I think Toub is also up for an extension. I think people here would rather see Lovie fired and Toub made HC and I'm not sure I don't agree. I think you'd see a more disciplined and inventive team.
Martz refused his extension so he's gambling on the offense coming around before he negotiates again. Toud has going to be in demand big time if we don't get him a new deal and given the Bears way of thinking lately and their new austerity program I wonder if we'll keep both or even one of them. Martz could leave tomorrow as far as I'm concerned but I'd hate to lose Toub. How many Asst. HC's can a team have?

Ya know......I don't know if anyone else caught this but, at the very beginning of the game they showed Angelo, sitting by himself in the booth, and he just shook his head and then buried his face in his hands. As if he was already disgusted with something, and the game hadn't even started yet.
I found that a bit odd ......

You sure it wasn't when the defense called that first time out? That was at the beginning of the Vikes first series.

Maybe Lance Louis bent over to tie his shoelace. Angelo thought he was injured and OMG would have to replace him. ![4 13 13[1]](/images/smilies/Smilie/4_13_13[1].gif)
