Vote Jay Cutler FedEx Air POTW

Done. I just watched the video of that long pass to Hester. Two guys who really did a nice job one on one with their guy were Spaeth and Louis. Watch Spaeth take on Jared Allen one on one and stalemate him to the inside. Louis gets really good position on Robison and takes him around behind the pocket.
The ability of these two to handle their guys singly allowed Webb, CWill Garz, and Spencer to take on the 2 DT's and keep the pocket clear in front of Cutler so he could see Hester and had plenty of time to step up and throw. That's the prettiest pass blocking I've seen out of that bunch all year. That was text book stuff.

Indeed they were saying Louis was determined to not let anyone beat him around the edge to the outside. He was determined to push them as far out as possible to stop those edge sacks. They looked good out there together against a good line.

The nice think about Louis and what makes him effective is his quickness setting up and his athleticism. He gets out of his stance quickly and he's got the goods to stay with his guy just as long as he stays in contact. With OMG the DE is around him to the outside before he even gets out of his stance. Whoever scouted that guy before we signed him should be drawn and quartered.

In my opinion, Jay should have gotten this award last week. That's the guttiest performance I've seen in a long time. He seems very determined to prove to those outside Chicago, he's tough. I think he's also taking over leadership of the offense since Olin's gone.

Also been impressed by Chris Williams pulling out of his spot and making nice blocks in the running game. He seems to find the right guy every time and put a body on him.

Yeah that and I also watched his pass blocking on the TD pass to Hester. He gets a nice hand jolt into the chest of his guy not once but twice. CWill is getting to be an OK lineman at long last and it looks like he's picking up more of an OG's toughness as opposed to a LT's finesse. JMO.

Voted. Hope Jay wins, then that will mean Aaron Rodgers loses :)
