The Bears are like a chick....you wanna love em and have them rock your world, but they can only break your heart so many times in a row until you get fed up and say screw it, i think we should see new head coaches and GMs.

I complain because I think its time the Bears join the 21st century and build an offense, I guess jerry is the only one that never got that memo. This organization is a complete joke still. PAY MATT FORTE DAMMIT!

I love Bears wins makes me feel better but even I was like WTF at the goal line when we kept honoring opposite day. That was tough to watch losing by 20 or winning by 100.

If someone thinks it's too negative then they should post some high points they thought of the game(s). I think many on here post things they would like to see for improvement in between the fire JA and Martz chants.
I don't think things would be so negative if the issues that we see each week are so blatant and in your face. You don't need to be a coach to see bungling and mismanagement. And despite that they are above .500 !!
...now that's pretty positive
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

That's a great way to put it. I'd say this years team is just like that. Pretty enough and intriguing enough to ask to the dance even though you know she (they) won't put out in the end. CUE; "Paradise by the Dashboard Lights" by Meat Loaf.

People have done that. Look at Ric's posts, he usually posts a "what we learned" thread after each game where we all chime in on what we think. But the opposite can be said as well...just because we won, doesnt mean there is nothing negative to discuss either. There are still things to worry about and improve on, even in a victory.

Agreed, of course...yet, let there seems to be some (perhaps a vocal minority) who seem to relish and even gloat over every lose (as if it proves how smart and insightful they are) and dismiss and write off every imperfect victory...I question whether some of these people get any enjoyment or pleasure out of watching a Bears game...

But I swear, Bears fans may be the only sports fans where a win isn't "good enough". Any other fan would be HAPPY that their team won a football game. But not Bears fans (and the absolutely pathetic Chicago media). No, the Bears must satisfy with a certain number of style points. The margin of victory must reach some imaginary number that's big enough. Overcoming the many team flaws to win a game against a quality team overseas is ignored for the "analysis" of things the Bears did wrong.....in a victory.
The now requisite "that may have worked against that team but it won't work against Team X" pops up all over the 'net. What this mystical, all-powerful, unbeatable Team X team is, I do not know. Not being happy or relieved by your team winning is a sure sign that one is either A) stupid B) has a deluded sense of entitlement or C) not really grasping how difficult it is to win a game in the NFL.
Any win is important. You can look at a win and acknowledge that a team didn't play their best football. But any other team that wins a game without playing their best football is celebrated (I bet Packer fans aren't ripping their team by almost letting the Vikings come back on them). But Bears fans seem to ENJOY bitching about their team. It's never, EVER good enough. I'm sure a lot of them would be bitching after a Super Bowl victory if we settled for a FG when up 16 points....
Wahhhhhhhh...!!! Quit your crying. Do you really want to know WHY there are those of us on this board that still bitch...?!? It is because they are the ones smart enough to look BEYOND a win. Sure the Bears won a game. Smart viewers understand that the Bears are in trouble. They are in trouble in the long run.
Team "X"...lets call team "X" the Packers...!!! The Packers are a MUCH better team this season than they were last. Can you honestly say that about the Bears...?!? If ANYTHING happens to Matt Forte this season goes right down the toilet...!!! And lets be honest, if the Bears keep overusing him like they are now, he will not have ANYTHING left for the playoffs...!!!
So, I ask you, should Forte go down, who steps up to take his place...??? Who then carries the Bears offense...?!? Barber, maybe, haven't seen much of him. Bell...??? Hester...??? Roy Williams...??? Sazenbacher...???
Only the F'ing Bears could hire a pass first OC, trade for a passing QB, fill the roster with pass blocking TE's, spend (2) seasons desperately trying to patch a crap, pass blocking offensive line, and spend the first quarter of the season trying to replicate the "Greatest Show on Turf" only to realize that they have a running offense.
Yeah, there is a LOT of reason for doubt...

Smart ones...what a frecking joke...
You could of and probably did make the same post last year at the is time...in that case, the “long run” was the NFC championship game...I am NOT saying we will repeat last year’s performance; I just don’t think you’re as smart as you think you are...
You only think you’re smart because you have the benefit of hindsight, time, anonymity, and selective amnesia...

This team has 20 different players on the roster than last years team so maybe the suggestions that the 2010 Bears weren't quite as good a team as the record indicates isn't completely off base. We did get some breaks due to other teams injuries just as we got breaks in yesterday's game where the Bucs lost two OC's and their top RB's to injuries. I think those of us who emphasize that may have valid points.
What I see is a team that's a work in progress. JA screwed the pooch in FA by not signing two vet Olineman so we have to make do with what we have. We've been without our prize rookie OT for four games yet guys like Louis and Spencer have stepped up to fill that void. Webb is still not a fully capable LT but he is slowly improving and CWill has turned out to be a decent LG. Actually Tice has done a decent job with this line and it shows when Martz doesn't undermine it with dumb play calling.
The Dline is having similar struggles but both Okoye and Paea show some real potential as a DT duo. Okoye already has 4 sacks in seven games which is more than any Bears DT has had in an entire season for a few years now and Paea shows both quickness and strength as a pass rusher from the NT spot. Melton has been the one whose disappointed.
The other guys who have proved themselves to be up and comers are Sanz and Conte. But we're still building from the bottom up, not the top down. With the exception of this year Angelo's drafts have not produced much talent from the higher picks so it's been up to the mid round and late round guys to become the starters. When you do that it takes more time for the team to gel as these guys have to learn to play at a much higher level than they did in college.
We haven't had the opportunity to get shots at guys like Suh and Fairley for our Dline like the Lions have. We couldn't draft a Matthew Stafford so we had to spend two 1st round picks to trade for one. My point is that this isn't a first rank team right now but the potential is there if we can keep core players healthy and build from anothr draft or two. In the meantime there's nothing wrong with calling a spade a spade and posting constructive criticism even though it may sound like complaining.
