I'm starting to despise Bears "fans".
I know it's because the very nature of internet forum boards welcomes the irresistible urge to bitch about any and everything. Anonymity + unlimited number of people possibly reading + the desire to appear "knowledgable" leads to any forum board on any topic basically being a place to gripe about everything.
But I swear, Bears fans may be the only sports fans where a win isn't "good enough". Any other fan would be HAPPY that their team won a football game. But not Bears fans (and the absolutely pathetic Chicago media). No, the Bears must satisfy with a certain number of style points. The margin of victory must reach some imaginary number that's big enough. Overcoming the many team flaws to win a game against a quality team overseas is ignored for the "analysis" of things the Bears did wrong.....in a victory.
The now requisite "that may have worked against that team but it won't work against Team X" pops up all over the 'net. What this mystical, all-powerful, unbeatable Team X team is, I do not know. Not being happy or relieved by your team winning is a sure sign that one is either A) stupid B) has a deluded sense of entitlement or C) not really grasping how difficult it is to win a game in the NFL.
Any win is important. You can look at a win and acknowledge that a team didn't play their best football. But any other team that wins a game without playing their best football is celebrated (I bet Packer fans aren't ripping their team by almost letting the Vikings come back on them). But Bears fans seem to ENJOY bitching about their team. It's never, EVER good enough. I'm sure a lot of them would be bitching after a Super Bowl victory if we settled for a FG when up 16 points....
