Anyone else surprised he didn't make a bigger deal over his first TD than the 3 or so 1st downs he caught?
also, maybe he acts that way to get the team fired up?

I was surprised too... if the celebration were to scale with the accomplishment, then he should have ran over to one of the Buccaneer cheerleaders and grinded his plank on their poop deck

That's what they thought in Dallas before we brought him in. He always shows just enough to get teams thinking about "what if". If he were a woman he'd be a "cock tease", LOL.

His main problems in Detroit was route running. In Dallas it became catching the ball. If he didn't bobble every throw to him I don't think dallas would have drafted Bryant to replace him. At this point in his career can he learn to catch?

The Bears actually NEED Willaims to continue to improve if we dream to have any hope of winning the Super Bowl. He's a huge receiver that's very hard to defend. He just needs to HANG ONTO THE BALL! If he can do that, jay will keep throwing it his way.

I think it's likely the guys has a massive ADD issue going on. When you're bigger than most of your defenders and as strong as he's reputed to be there's no reason to grow alligator arms and not look the ball into your hands yet we see him do it time after time on crossing routes. If he was one of the monsters in a Pac Man game he'd be "Blinky".
Look at the last few posts. Butka wishes his head was screwed on straight and Mo and Starky talk about his hands. What I want to know is why these things should even be an issue with a 29 year old 8 year veteran WR. Obviously the guy hasn't matured either as a person or as a player. I'd wager the same things being said about him now are written on his college scouting reports as; "lacks maturity", "needs to run better", "drops too many", "prima donna attitude", etc.
Roy Williams is already "all that he can be" and being a part of the Bears isn't gonna change that in him. I'll settle for games from his like Sunday's because that's about all we'll ever see outta him. If he and Knoz can be as effective in a rotation with one another as they were Sunday (7 catches, 112 yds., 1 td) I'd be thrilled. We're getting Bennett back and Sanz has already proven himself to be a dependable receiver so the slot is covered and Hester is Hester which means you never know what you'll get from him from game to game.
RWill was a bad choice out of all those FA WRs but he was JA and Martz's choice so let's just hope he can elevate his play from worthless to mediocre. That's about the best we can hope for.
