I can't believe anyone would think this is a good idea. Every team he has ever been on he has created chaos.

But how much of that is hyperbole? The Eagles I side with him totally on. McNabb couldn't get his head in the game in the 2 minute drill, yet T.O. played on a broken leg. The Cowboys ,have been just like the redskins in amassed talent that does nothing, and Romo was only getting the ball to whitten at the time. Garcia NEEDED T.O., and actually, if you look at it, every one of the QBs that he played with got worse once he left(jury is out on Fitzpatrick). You can say that's because he "destroyed" the team chemistry, but that's a weak explanation of things, honestly.

I'm arguing that he destroyed chemistry while he was there. He plays great gor a while and then melts down (every team, not some rare example). Of course he improved a qb, but at the cost of him wrecking your offense in critical spots by screaming at the OC during games, etc. How many of his "good" teams didn't crash and burn when TO did? They all did. Removing him allows for better production from everyone he was bringing down. Its team function 101... A rotten apple will rot all of your other apples and must be removed.

I used to liked TO when he was with SF.
If we drop RWill and TO is our #4 at best, I'd say we should try him. But on the other side, we need to know all about his attitude before - to bad we would never know it.

You need to have chemistry on this team to destroy it and our OC is not really doing well with his play calling. Our wrs are not tearing up the league and Jay is still needing a legit wr to throw the ball too. The worst thing that could happen is that he drops the ball or gives up on a play but then again Roy williams does that all the time and Johnny Knox gives up on plays.

There's good arguements on either side of this issue. BDM is right though. Whenever TO comes to town he expects to be the BMOC on every team he plays on and a major publicity hog as well. He's also not afraid to throw his teamates under the bus which is about the last thing we need right now. Players, coaches and the front office are already doing that.
Personally I think strictly as a player he would outperform RWill but other than his hot dogging first down signals during games at RWill says little afterword and I've yet to hear him speak ill of another player. He's usually either defending himself in his usual sarcastic manner or he's out and out telling us what we already know. His play need to improve. He may not be doing us all that much good so far but at least he's not being a disciplinary problem.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

True as that has been in the past, you really didn't hear a peep outta him, complaining wise, that struck with either the Bills or Bengals, both teams that really suckled. Yeah, he got the majority of the catches in cincy, but Chad Johnson has only proven that this year is simply a repeat of last year, and his gas tank emptied a lot earlier than T.O.'s. Also, Carson Palmer praised T.O., though he said that the raiders were unlikely to sign him. 4th is right, as much as we like some of our WR's (see: Bennett, Sanzanbacher), this passing game needs a professional that could be used THIS YEAR and T.O. is a great short term investment, and has proven as such for the last two teams (although they sucked, he still put up respectable numbers).
Really, if we get him, and the gamble paid off (in this, the year of gambles for JA, he's already in the hole with RWill, and this might be digging himself out) then all's well. I doubt he'll "demand" anything, as he's desperate just to play at this point, and is good enough to funnel the ball away from WRs that don't deserve the ball being thrown to them if they're not getting the job done (Knox, Rwill, Hurd).

Actually he was quick to throw out his opinin regarding Edwards and Fitspatrick in Buffalo. Having spent a few years managing a team in a business, I can say with certainty that TO is not going to help any team that he is on. Even though this team is struggling to currently find some chemistry, TO wouldn't help. In fact he would make it a lot worse. His personal production would be good, but you can bet that the teams overall performance would be hampered.

T.O. could help for say a season but would have to be tempered. We can't even Temper Martz half the time with his pass-happy ways.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

Well, what I was getting to, was there were no huge spats between he and either team, and left on good terms from both. All we need him is for one season, before we start getting real WRs..
