Bearjew and Bennett will be key
in us being able to hang with the soaring eagles. I believe our defense can keep them to 24 points, but we need a 30-point effort to be safe. Bennett will have a big day against the secondary. Roy Williams will be getting locked down by Aso. Forte will have his usual 150 total yard performance. Carimi will need to slow down Jason Babin, whose having a big season.

Bennett will be back for sure but I wonder if they'll play Carimi just yet or give him more time to get up to speed. It's one thing when a vet goes down for as many games as he's been out but with a rookie I think they may give him just a little more time to get acclimated and it's not as if we're hurting that badly at RT now the Louis is playing.
Babin is really tearing it up isn't he? And to think we were in the hunt for the guy during FA but he chose Philly since that's were his former DLine coach was. How nice would that have been to have Peppers and Babin as our bookends with Izzy in reserve?

Carimi won't be playing. A Rookie with 1 1/2 games experience isn't owed anything. The line is playing well and Carimi will probably be inserted at LT if Webb ever falters again (a good motivating tool for him).
I think people are overreacting to the Eagles beating Dallas. The Bears aren't Dallas. The Bears will not allow McCoy to slice them up that way. The Bears actually have a real running game. I'm not saying the Bears will blow out the Eagles (screw style-points), but the Bears are the better team with the Eagles main advantage being that they're at home. But for some reason, Cutler plays really well at night and so does the Bears defense.
We will see...

You know your team is in sad shape when your sole hope is that your defense holds the opposition to 24.

Are you impugning the Bears offense or the defense? Usually the Bears can win when the offense scores 24 points whereas the Packers usually require 30 or more. Fortunately you guys have an offense that can do it.

I know you're just trying to be one of the cynical "cool kids" (why this attitude is so prevalent here, I'll never understand). But doesn't EVERY SINGLE TEAM IN THE LEAGUE hope to hold the opposition to a low point total? I mean, doing that increases your chances of winning exponentially. But only on THIS forum is hoping to achieve that seen as a "bad" thing.

I'm thinking the issue is that I don't view 24 points as a "low point total".
And ESPECIALLY more so when the team in question is known as the "Monsters of the Midway" BECAUSE of their defense. Didn't the 85 Bears have an average of something like 12 points per game allowed? THAT is a "low point total".

My sole hope to waking up one morning to see a story posted about Jerry Angelo getting fired but then I realize that God is a packersfan and he hates the bears.

I just hope we run the ball allot cause that is Eagles weakness. Those DBs scare the shit out of me especially with the scrubs we have at wr. if we over commit to the run maybe Cutler can sneek a few deep plays in to our fast wrs.

That was 25 years ago Loki! Prices and points allowed have more than doubled since then. We appreciate the fact that these are tough times and we're doing all we can to hold them in check. Obviously you don't experience point inflation in the Far East.
