Talk about a team becoming QB poor with two contracts like that to digest.
Yeah but all the talk is this is the second coming of Peyton Manning and not sure you can let him slip away if you're sitting at #1 no matter who's on the roster. Manning is on the downside of his career at this point and correct me if I'm wrong but you don't have to pay rookies like you did in year's past so you can let them sit.

Rather see us take an OL or LB in the first; WR is a need position, but if it's not Blackmon at wr I would not worry about it until the 2nd or 3rd. W/our GM I would suspect DL, and w/our coach probably S.

Alshon Jeffery (South Carolina) is a good prospect too (as far as pure talent, know nothing of his character). I think Blackmon and Jeffery are long gone by the time we pick. I think Blackmon goes earlier than this mock has him.

I think a smart idea would be to draft a good LB prospect early who can play the SAM immediately and then move over to MLB when the inevitable happens.

Hell you might have to worry about someone to play Briggs position if they are sick of his contract whining.

That's true kegger but Luck is still gonna make a hell of a lot more than whatever no name the Colts usually have as a backup. I agree with you that he'd be real hard to pass up if you had that #1 pick but the Colts need some major rebuilding. If they can get a pile of picks to the rights to draft him they can do that in a hurry and still get a few more good years out of Manning. It'll be interesting to see how it all stacks up but Luck has a lot of GM's salivating.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

Unless we collapse in a big way I expect Floyd to be gone by pick 15.
A guy who is growing on me is the 6'4" 220lbs. WR from Carolina Dwight Jones.

I think it's more than a might have to mo. If there's a LB they think can takeover Briggs spot I'd bet even money Briggs is gone for the very pick they might use to draft his replacement. That would be kind of ironic wouldn't it?
I just don't see the Bears using a first round pick for a WR. Not as long as Angelo is GM. The only ones that are usually guaranteed sucesses go within the first 10 picks like Green and Jones did this year. I don't think we'll be drafting that low.
If we're somewhere around 20 give or take my guess is that there'll be DE's and LB's to choose from and with the age we have at those spots we do need some youth. I also don't see us taking an OG that high unless CWill and/or Louis prove to be total failures and it doesn't look like that will happen either.
