Would DeSean Jackson on the Bears interest you?

With all the talk about DeSean Jackson being inactive today and really slumping that DeSean is really unhappy with his contract and that the Eagles are souring on him.

If the Eagles do not resign him Jackson becomes a free agent and would be available.

Even though he is not 6'3", which we have discussed as a group, would you still want him as the #1 WR on the Bears?

Talent-wise, hell yes. He's like Johnny Knox with actual receiver skills and more speed. Personality-wise, hell no. He's wants to get paid more so he sulks and plays poorly on purpose? How's that getting you closer to a big contract?

Yeah, I'd agree with Starky on this one. I can't see much difference in the skills of Jackson and Knox but I see a big difference in attitude. Johnny Knox is a team player whose done nothing less than give his best efforts ever week even though he's been sharing time with RWill. He was pretty uncerimoniously demoted in the preseason but he keeps coming out and playing his game every week.

Personally I think we should be taking more shots downfield with him. He needs to find better ways to go up for the ball and to adjust to Cutler's back shoulder throws but he attracts attention and interference penalties a lot. He's really the only legit deep threat we have on the team and I'd take him over Jackson as far as the Bears are concerned.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

    Its Scary, think of it....

Special formation, Hester/Knox/Jackson all running deep, Davis (or Spaeth) running a 7 yard in, while the other blocks. Forte Going for the curl, and Cutler choosing which way to kill ya! :D

I highly doubt there would be a better option; with that said, I wouldn't break the bank for him, either.

Speed is great but I think it best to have a sure handed big body that can go up and get it to bail out Cutler and be a superstar in the Red Zone. Not worth the hassle and having a corps of WR with the same build.

we got speed to spare. If we didn't have a guy like Knox, sure, but we do..and Hester to boot. I would like another big body, go up and get it guy, to help out Bennett.

my favorite of the FA wr bunch is Bowe. With that said soemthing I learned this week watching games i dont trust certain players with big contracts and that goes for Bowe, V Jack, and Jackson. They seem to me players that dont care about winning just want to get paid. I think we missed out on a team player when we didnt get Sydney Rice.

Would it be worth it in order to attempt to trade up in the draft?
