Yes, i did hear the game, but i dont agree with your assertion, since i see every announcing team do the same exact thing when other teams are getting crushed, ESPECIALLY if said team was the favorite going into the game.
The one thing you will notice is that pretty much every announcing team is rooting for a close game, since thats what gets the ratings. Sure, they may have their pre-game predictions, but the only thing they are "rooting for" is for the losing team to get their shit together and make it a GAME. You dont see it when a team is down by a TD or FG, since its close and could go either way.

Turn the volume off on the TV. Listen to Joniak and Thayer.

I hate Joe Buck, because he first hated my teams.
He doesn't just hate the Bears.
He hates the Cubs.
Shit, he even hates the White Sox.
He hates the city of Chicago. That is why I hate Joe Buck. Good announcer, but a biased MFer and I have no use for him.
Billick, not a great announcer, but he knows what he is talking about. Not bias.

Billick is a great announcer, but one thing about him that annoys the shit out of me is his tendency to come across as a "know-it-all." Does anybody else get that impression from him?

The Ravens did, but they figured it out eventually.

Anyone is better than Aikman. There are a lot of grating announcers, I put the tv on mute frequently. One thing that really annoys me is mis-pronouncing names, I can understand if it is a 3rd string special teamer from west africa, but "charles" johnson (calvin) and Julius "peters" (peppers) c'mon man! really? you get paid to do this? the most casual of NFL fans know who Calvin Johnson is, and who Julius Peppers is.

Guess you just "heard" it different than I did then. Billick has called some Bears games before and I let it pass because there was a lot to criticize and he did. But today when he could have been complimenting the Bears domination he seemed to be rooting for the Lions to come out of it every chance he got right up until Peanut's pick for a TD. That finally shut him up. The Lions weren't favored in this game either.
You think it's normal and I think it's not. Come see, come sa. Do you feel that same way about Joe Buck too when he calls a Bears game? I just expect them to call the game and add some insight not take sides.

I was streaming it and I don't get Joniak and Thayer here in Denver. I did eventually take off my headset and turn the speakers way down for everything except the penalty announcments. The guy was wearing me out.

Yeah, he's arrogant and today he was very one sided in his color work. It got tiresome after a while until that pick by Peanut finally seemed to shut him up for good.
Maybe he doesn't annoy others like he does me but I'll be damned if I'm gonna accept it without a bitch. I thought he did a piss poor job today. That's my opinion and opinions aren't wrong. That's why they're called opinions and not facts.
