You're there to comment on the game coach not to be a cheerleader for the downtrodden. When the Bears are getting their asses kicked they love being ultra critical but where are the kudos when the Bears are dominating a game? Billick and his former QB Trent Dildo are two of the most anti Bears broadcasters on the air.

Its more or less the same thing. You just see it differently.

but, if you chance the names
"Cutler needs to learn to watch for defenders and stop making bad passes"
you see it as critical. He does the same thing, but people always take things more personally when it is directed at their team. I am sure the Lion fans felt they were being hard on them, the same way you think they are when they say that about the Bears.

You at least have to give the Bears defense credit for just embarassing the fvck out of that punk Stafford. He didn't even do that. Every announcer explains what a losing team needs to do to get back into the game:
"they need to stop kicking to Devin Hester"
"they need to find a way to get to the QB"
"they need to get better field position"
"they need to focus on the run game more"
I cant really see how its biased when they all do it and its always in regards to whoever is losing, especially by multiple scores. Only advice the Bears wouldve needed in the 4th quarter to win would be "keep doing whatever it is your doing"

I fully understood the "platitudes" Jimmors was spouting so casually but that wasn't the point I was making with this thread. Y'all want to hate on Joe Buck but why cut Billick any slack. He was all about the same thing. It just get's old when it keeps on series after series after series with no relief. No attaboys for the Bears defense just wishing the Lions along to a better game.
