    What we learned Det/Chicago 2.0

The Lions are who we THOUGHT THEY WERE! They are really good and really talented, but they have not learned to handle adversity while in the game. Stafford got rattled early and their whole O looked confused. And we paid them back for all that shit they talked and the crap they pulled. Have a nice time sitting out of the playoffs again this year Det. You and your crappy city deserve eachother.

Chicago O, not looking good, Det sold out to stop Forte, and they did it minus 1 or 2 plays. Cutler didn't have a great game, but w/winds like today it would have been tough for anyone, and stafford struggled as well as proof. The O was flat and awfull; but did enough to win. Hester had the flu and Chris Williams is going to be out for awhile, I guess we'll be seeing Gabe sooner or later afterall; cuz I'm not sure who's going to replace C-Dub.
Chicago D, polar oppoite of every other group other then Chi ST's. 6 TO's 2 td's, and absolute dominance against that Offense. Tillman played CJ like he used to play Randy Moss, and pretty much shut him down. Peppers hit on CJ for the forced fumble I think rattled CJ and took him out of the game. We absolutely OWNED their O in every phase of the game. Again we got a little CB on WR action instead of sitting 10-20 yards back all the time.
Chicago ST, Hester is Hester, and if your dumb enough to kick to him, your going to pay dearly...and he did this on a bumb ankle and w/flu like symptoms. He's a pure bred badass. The rest of ST's did fine, Gould is the best kicker in the game, no one....AND I MEAN NO ONE....has to deal w/the weather conditions like He does, no one has to deal w/a shoddy turf like he does and he just drops fg's in like it's nothing. Ya he missed a bad one, but every kicker does eventually, but he hits more then he should for that stadium.
Coaches. Again flat outcoached the other teams coaches, and again confused the hell out of the other teams QB. Great gameplan...minus the OC, but again Det was dedicated to shutting down Forte, and if a team decides that's what they want, they will. The wind was as such that you would rather have the other qb throw then have their rb run amok.

Another dominating game that is going to all but secure our playoff spot b/c of tiebreakers(we beat Atl, Det lost to them). Eat it you jack wagon dirty playing jags. You deserved this beatdown; and I hope more teams follow suit.

Rapid Reaction: Bears 37, Lions 13

CHICAGO -- The Bears showed that a bad day on offense isn’t necessarily devastating as long as everything else works to perfection.
In blasting the Detroit Lions 37-13 on Sunday at Soldier Field, the Bears scored 24 points off turnovers, including two interception returns for touchdowns by Major Wright and Charles Tillman, while special-teams maven Devin Hester brought the crowd to its feet with an 82-yard punt return, his 19th career return TD.
The win goes down as Chicago’s most important to date, considering where it stood in the NFC North standings going into this contest.
So let’s dig in a little deeper.

What it means: The Bears came into the contest a game behind the Detroit Lions in the NFC North standings. So the victory ties the teams in terms of overall records, and keeps the Bears in total control of their postseason fate.
The loss goes down as Detroit’s first in the division (they’ve played just three divisional games). The Bears, meanwhile, have lost two division games (they’ve played four games in the division). The Bears now have a 6-3 record in the conference, while the Lions sit at 4-3 in the NFC.
So if the regular season ended today, both the Bears and Lions would still be the NFC’s wild card teams.
Points off turnovers: The Bears scored 10 points in the first quarter off fumble recoveries from Brian Urlacher and Tim Jennings, and then tacked on another 14 points off a pair of interception returns for TDs by Major Wright -- who made his first career INT just six days earlier -- and Charles Tillman.
Urlacher’s recovery, which came by way of a strip from Julius Peppers, led to a Matt Forte 6-yard run in the first quarter. Jennings’ recovery, which came courtesy of a strip by Chris Conte, led to a Robbie Gould 43-yard field goal.
Tillman’s interception return marked the fourth of his career, and the veteran now has a team-high 28 career interceptions since being drafted by the Bears in 2003, which moves him into third place in team history.
Hester overcomes obstacles: Devin Hester broke an 82 yarder for his 11 punt return touchdown in the second quarter, and moved into 2nd in NFL history behind Deion Sanders (19) -- passing Rod Woodson (17) -- with 18 combined return touchdowns.
Hester finished the day with 122 yards in returns; this after spraining an ankle in the team’s win Monday night over the Eagles, missing the entire week of practice, before finally coming down with strep throat on Friday.
Just imagine how Hester would’ve played had he been 100 percent.
Hester didn’t play a role on offense, with Johnny Knox taking over at his spot, and left the game in the dehydrated in second quarter and was given fluids intravenously in the locker room. The team later announced Hester would miss the remainder of the game because of the illness.
Hester returned his first punt 29 yards, before originally muffing the 82-yard touchdown on Robert Malone’s 60-yard bomb of a punt. Hester followed the touchdown return with what should have been a 35-yard effort, but the play was negated by a Zack Bowman holding penalty.
After that final return, the Lions smartened up and directed the ball out of bounds on the next punt with Hester still in the game.
From inactive to very active: Nose tackle Anthony Adams found himself on the inactive list for the first time this season Monday night, but the team activated him for the game against the Lions in part because of the health of Matt Toeina, who has been banged up.
Adams responded by producing one of the team’s two sacks. Peppers notched the other one for his 95th career sack. In 147 games, Peppers now has 95 career sacks, which ranks as the fourth-most sacks by any player since 2002.
What’s next: The Bears host their second consecutive home game Sunday when they face the San Diego Chargers (4-5) at Soldier Field.

I learned Bears are taking that shit from a dirty team. You play dirty against our guys we will retaliate. Bravo to you Briggs for knocking CJ into oblivion. And I would like to see some more cheap shots against the lions in the future. This is what happens when you play cheap you become a target and yes Lions you should feel the bulls eye on you guys. The league has taken note of that and their will be pay backs

on note for the game not satisfied with the offense but idk how much what happened on offense was cause our defense was ripping them a new ass hole. And Lions look like shit when you stop the jump ball prayers to CJ. Like I said before the first game they are a two player team CJ and Suh.

Yeah that miss that Robbie has was the result of one nasty gust of wind and not that he pushed it like the broadcast said. It was coming back into the posts when a gusts hit it and just straightened it out. He hit it well it was just a bad break.

Detroit play punk ass football and we punk'd 'em back. The only thing we missed out on was a real good shot on Stafford and after that helmet toss on DJ he should have gotten one. The planking Briggsy put on Johnson was a pure payback for Fairley's roughing call against Cutler. It was you're gonna take shots at our guy then we'll hit back.

Offense wasn't in it today. We should have moved the ball much better than we did. When they stack the box to take Forte away Cutler has to make them pay downfield and we didn't really do that. Once again that impotent idiot Martz makes a stupid drive stalling call on 3rd an inches and we never got out offensive momentum back after that. That guy constantly outsmarts himself. If you're gonna run that play then run it with Barber in the backfield with Forte and let them guess whether or not it's coming straight ahead with Barber or a toss to Forte. Not a well designed play when the have 10 guys on the LOS.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

one thing I would like to say about the O, the D was so dominant that they were barely out there to get into rythem. 1st two posessions were short field, then in the 3rd the D returned to int's for TD's, meaning the D was out there 3 straight times. By then it was out of reach and the O not only not in rythem was now playing to protect the win instead of build on the lead.

its really nice to see all the crap we heard past two season how teammates dont like cutler and when he takes a cheap shot our defense is there for a pay back play really goes a long way in cementing that he is one of the guys and the team is fully behind him. It really cements Cutler is one of our main leaders on our team

Hell, I slept straight through from about 9 o'clock this morning until right at 6 this evening, and then I turned on the computer and watched the game and was absolutely shocked that we were blowing out the Lions so badly in the 3rd Quarter. When I saw those two interception returns for touchdowns, it signified to me that Stafford was obviously having a terrible day. Yeah, he passed for over 300 yards, but he threw the ball about 60 times if I recall the stat line on the tube. We didn't give up many big runs, as I expected. This Lions are going to be in trouble down the stretch as they get ready to play teams like the Packers, the Chargers, the Raiders (if they haven't played those two yet).

Martz is really the only thing that could hold the team back. He's fine when the game is close, it's when the Bears have a big lead that he loses his mind for some reason.

I think D.J. Moore should have led the way in leveling Matthew Stafford with his helmet. Maybe give him a concussion for the cheap shot he delved out onto Moore.
