The Bears are the most COMPLETE team in the NFL
The offense just wasn't sharp today. Detroit made a point to shut down the running game. You got the sense that Cutler was just trying not to throw a pick and not make mistakes. The offense just wasn't sharp.....
We kicked their asses anyway.
That's because the Bears, more than any other team in the league, understand that ALL THREE PHASES are important.
We don't lean on our QB to light up the scoreboard every week or we won't win (Green Bay, New Orleans, Atlanta, New England, Philadelphia).
We don't pray our RB has a monster game in order for us to even have chance (Minnesota, Tennessee).
The Bears can win with special teams. They can win with defense. They can win with a hot QB. They can win with a dominant RB. No phase goes unheeded or unheralded.
Green Bay is in trouble. Yes, it's difficult to stop that awesome aerial attack....for everyone except the Bears. The Packers defense is just awful. They have difficulty scoring against the Bears (particularly in the second half of games). This is going to be a very interesting final 7 games.
On to the AFC West where we can't sleep on a single team. Not even the Denver Tebows!

I must have missed where Chris Williams went down with an injury. What happened? I didn't wake up until 6:00 EST because I didn't sleep any last night.

Really is amazing to have 200 yards of offense and drop 37 at home.

Offense wasn't sharp at all. I really got a sense that they were nervous and were playing "not to lose" instead of playing to win like they were in Philly. It happens sometimes.
The defense was the exact opposite. They were absolutely FEROCIOUS. And you gotta remember, the Lions front 4 is no joke and they really loaded the box to stop Forte. Their plan was to blitz Cutler and stop Forte.
But oh well, we're gonna have some offensive stinkers now and again.

Think I read 3 times all last season over 30 points so far this season went over 30 five times.

Every team doesn't have Detroit's front 4 and Forte's not gonna be bottled up every week. Not every team has their pass-rush and they're not gonna bottle Jay up every week. I'm fully confident the offense will get pack on track against the woeful Chargers. That "throw it up and pray" crap aint gonna work on Tillman & Co.

It'll be revenge time from the last game we played against the Bolts.
