Are the Chargers a trap game?
I am nervous as well after coming off of a couple of huge NFC wins and an emotional divisional game the Bears could be in for a let down against a desperate Chargers team.
The Chargers defense is banged up and cannot stop the run when healthy. Forte and the Bears can run the ball and they can pass off of it and the Chargers CBs are as bad as our WR. Our offense is built like the Raiders, which lit up the Chargers.
The Chargers offense has been turning the ball over all the time and lives with deep plays, going against the Bears defense that does not give up big plays and just forced 6 turnovers.
Bears 24
Chargers 17

It's not a trap if we don't let down. The Chargers proved they can lay some points on you if you let them. Their probably more dangerous as a passing offense than anyone else we face except Green Bay. To beat them you keep the ball away from Rivers and we get up in the faces of Jackson and Brown just like we did against Philly and Detroit. If we pressure Rivers he gets hot headed and cracks.
The most intersting thing will be to see if the old fued between Rivers and Cutler is still active. Those two had a mutual hate relationship when Cutler played here so each will want to beat the other. Cutler needs a big turn around from last game and Forte should be able to run on them. Their defense isn't what it used to be. We have to avoid getting in a shoot out with them. We can't outscore them like Green Bay did. They have no chance for a Wild Card spot so they're playing with their backs against the wall. If we play tough and physical like we did against Detroit we win.

The Chargers are going to move the ball MUCH more. Stafford passed over 60 times and we only managed a few sacks. Rivers needs pressured and I think we'll be ok. Chargers will get burned defensively if they try the formula the Lions employed. Their ST is still a bit shaky as well. Were playing on a roll so I think we take this one.
The trap game I believe is @ the Raiders as they are surprisingly physical and mistakes there could be disastrous.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

I'm hoping that after reflecting on the beginning of this season, this team is humble enough to realize every game is important.

It is a trap game, in the sense that this is a talented team, who's record doesn't reflect it and it is a team that NEEDS to win. But then again so was Philly, and we handled that one pretty well. If we can beat Philly and Det we should be able to beat SD; but it's not impossible for the Chargers to walk away w/this win; their O is talented enough to score on just about anyone.

I know Lovie likes to break the season up into 4 game quarters and that the Lions game was the first game in the 3rd quarter but if the Bears are smart they'll look at these next four games like they're a quarter too. If we take these four we pretty much lock up a Wild Card spot at 10-3 with just Seattle, Green Bay and Minny left to play. Even if we beat GB I still think we finish behind them as I can't see them losing anymore than two if that.
With the excpetion of Oakland the AFC West teams are not phsycial teams and we should be able to win on that basis alone. San Diego is possibly the toughest win even though it's at home because they can strike quick through the air. Denver has lost it's two top RB's and they have zilch for a passing attack so all we have to do is put a lid on Tebow's running and prevent a big play. KC just lost Cassell for the rest of the season so we get them with an inexperienced backup. Oakland on the road won't be a cakewalk but they're not that consistent and they have a hard time winning out of their division so all four of these games are very winnable if we play football like we have the past 3 games.
We turned the corner so now all we have to do is to keep walking in the direction we've been going. It would be nice to win these four and come out healthy and at a peak to finish the year out. The only thing that would really hurt is if we lost one more Olineman. If we have to play OMG or some guy we bring in the line falls back to where we were before OMG got benched.

No, it isn't a trap game. The only way it would be is if we weren't looking up at a 9-0 Packers team. The Bears don't have the luxury to look past any opponent.
