Yep.
Which just proves that sometimes it's better to be lucky than be good.
And we've had our fair share of that.

Ah hell with Cutler out the Dember head to head won't be as much of a dogfight as it might have been but Hanie a gamer so if we can keep the rest of the team healthy we should still have a good battle. Can't see us making a run through the playoffs without Cutler though. If he's out 6-8 weeks and rusty when he returns our game is over.

If you make it to the playoffs anything can happen. Win most of your remaining games and hope the Packers put the kitties to sleep and you should be in. After that, all bets are off. You have a good run game, a good defense and good special teams. As long as Hanie doesn't try to be a hero you should be ok.
I wouldn't look at the NFCC game as an indicator to how he's going to play though. Coming in part way through the game when no one has game planned for you vs starting are very different things.

Thanks for the good thoughts but with Hanie they'll have to pare down the offense and without all the tools and Cutler's leadership we can't stretch much. The defense can keep us in almost any game but we still have to have point production and it remains to be seen whether or not Hanie can deliver that on short notice.
I don't consider that NFCC Game as an indicator of much more than he's a tough kid who doesn't rattle easily. I watched him for two years in college and he's a pretty cool headed player but he doesn't have an arm like Cutler has that allows him to fit passes into some of the spots Jay can.
What I see are a lot of FG's when we come up short of the endzone which means a ton of 17-16, 20-17, 24-20 kind of games. Unless Forte breaks free again for some long runs Hanie may be good for two TD's a game and that's about it. The defense is gonna need to get real grabby and/or we'll need some Hester miracles to score 31 points in game again.
Consider where the pack would be if Flynn played. He's a good QB but he's not Rodgers. Could you guys have beaten San Diego without Rodgers heroics. Could you have even beaten the Bucs today without Rodgers savvy? Can't see Flynn making that "nail in the coffin" TD pass to Nelson on a third and short.
We'll win some games with Hanie but he's not a playoff capable QB without more game experience.

The Packers would be screwed beyond belief without Rodgers, especially with the way our defense is playing. You at least have Forte, good special teams and a defense that can make stops. All we have is our pass game and a defense that leaks like a sieve.

Don't know what's up with that D of yours. They looked real good to begin the game then they just kind of get loose. How's Starks? Saw him go down.

I suggest bringing in a high school coach to run some tackling drills.
