It's how we play when they're inside out 20 that concerns me and Briggs or someone has to do a better job on TE's in goaline pass coverage. That's where we're weaker than anywhere else on the goaline. We do need to get a better pass rush going though and a defensive game plan for limiting whatever damage God's QB can do with this option offense Denver is running.
Tebow isn't much of a passing threat and I doubt he'll be able to get past guys like Pep and Izzy the way he has against other DE's. He's one guy who you don't send your DE's upfield against but let them sit home and take his option lanes away from. You get to him from the inside on his pass drops and contain him with the ends so he has nowhere to run to. Then he just covers up and goes down to protect the ball. He hasn't faced a defense as good as ours and I don't think he'll be able to cope with all the looks. If we can keep him contained we beat him plain and simple.
Tebow had better give his heart to The Lord because his body will belong to the Bears. lol.
But still, whatever happened with the old defenses that we used to have in 2005-06? I mean, as soon as Tommie Harris went down at the end of 2006, our defense was never the same again. This defense has struggled up until the past five games. I don't suspect that we will struggle against Oakland. My guess is that the game will be relatively low scoring in nature. We will have to stop the run and Carson Palmer, who seems to have found a home in the Black Hole.

If you think Cutler is tough he has nothing on Timmy boy. Tebow really would make one hell of a TE. He's fast and he's absolutely indestructable. The Bears can dish out as much punishment as they want he won't buckle. That kid is made of iron touched by the hand of God so he'll never quit. That's his intangible. That's what's made him a winner far more then his overall talent.
Not many guys come into this league who are as good as Harris was his first few years. The kid was on a sure HOF track until he got hurt and after that he just never seemed to work as hard. Or maybe he never had to work hard before the injury so that's what happened. But we didn't have Peppers then and Izzy is a better DE than Ogun was so that evens it out as far as the line is concerned. What made Harris great was his ability to penetrate. He just ran through blocks. Melton can do it but he's not doing it consistently enough. Takes time to develop at that UT spot. Maybe the hardest one to play and Melton has only been at it for about a year now. Remember he started out in college as a RB and then came in to the NFL as a 260 lb DE. Now he's a 295 lb DT. That's a lot of growing he's done physically and his skills haven't caught up yet.

Tebow is a hell of an athlete, despite how bad of a QB he is. Say what you want about him, he has been somewhat magical in the 4th quarter. If he ever learns to throw a football in the NFL, he could be a beast. Like Soul said, he is a tough SOB.
I think he is best suited as a TE or a HB or FB. Knock him down all you want, he will bounce back up.

I want to break Tebow for all the bad things he did to my Tennessee Volunteers while he was going to school at Florida.

Tebow would own you. He got a beating by college studs and some NFL studs. I think you'd be a cake walk for him
