    The Bears Chase for the Wildcard

    I still think that there is a chance the Bears can make the playoffs as they play Oakland, KC, Denver, Seattle and Minnesota, games that I think they can win with the backup. We need to win 3 of 6 games to still make the playoffs and are being chased by the,

    Bears [11-5 or 10-6]

    If any team knows how to win with sub standard QB play it is the Chicago Bears.

    True, and if Hanie plays decently and the D keeps playing like they have, none of our remaining 6 games are unwinnable except for week 16 in GB. That game just went from "unlikely but possible" (TB gave the Pack a close call in Lambeau yesterday) to "forgetaboutit".

    Its not like the QBs in KC, Denver, Seattle, or Minny are far superior to CH. Next week will definitely be tough as it's away and Palmer looks like he's settling in there. The biq question is:
    Will Cutler be back and able to play in the postseason?

    Let's face it...we had little shot at the division anyway so if we can still squeak into a WC spot with Hanie then nothing much has been lost if Jay is able to start by playoff time. Still sucks though.

    I'm hoping against hope we make it in but even if Cutler returns from the injury 6+ weeks is a lot of time off with your offense and staying sharp.
    Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

    The Bears Schedule

    @Oakland

    This game is going to be tough because this is the type of team that can hurt the Cover 2 by breaking it with the run game. What kills this is there will be an emotional let down from the Cutler injury and this will be Hanie's first passes of the season so he will be rusty and bad.

    Kansas City

    The Chiefs are hot garbage on offense and the Bears defense should dominate the Tyler Palko led Chiefs and Hanie and Forte should handle a very bad defense that has gotten blown out by Miami.

    @Denver

    This is the toughest game to predict on the schedule and there is that ridiculous Tebow magic. The Bears will need a huge defensive effort and they will need to run the ball against the Broncos, but this will look a lot like the NY Jets game from Thursday night, but the Bears have a better running game.

    Seattle

    The Bears defense should eat up the Seahawks and they are terrible on the road. At this point Hanie has played 3 games and hopefully we have the passing game worked out for Hanie's skills at this point.

    @Green Bay

    The Packers will destroy Caleb Hanie and the Bears are we will have no shot of scoring with the Packers.

    @Minnesota

    The Vikings have an okay defense that the Bears have handled this year and their secondary is sad to watch. The Bears defense should be able to slow down AP and shiut down Ponder.
