Orton has experience and we don't have to sign him for next year. We need a veteran qb right now so come to chicago. On a side note Denver is real stupid because they could have sucked a 3rd or 2nd round draft pick out of Jerry Angelo.

If he's a cheap "backup to the backup" I wouldn't think it's as far fetched as FAVRE lol. I'm curious if they can get Enderle some garbage time contingency planning-wise.

Orton would be nice to have for nostalgia... Unfortunately he doesn't know the Martz system and it's ridiculously complicated for someone to learn in a short amount of time.

He's not that crazy. The Broncos may have gotten a 2nd or 3rd out of trading Orton this offseason if they hadn't been so greedy asking for TWO 2nds. Now they get nothing. Someone will pick Orton up it just isn't gonna be us.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

But Angelo is dumb enough to eat that 3rd round pick we got for Olsen to get Orton.

#1, the trade deadline has passed. The broncos couldn't have gotten anything for him.
#2, the team that picks him up has to pick up the rest of his contract, which is something like 2.5 million for the rest of the season.

We WONT get him, would be nice to have him back there, in case Hanie doesn't cut it/gets injured. I don't want Enderle seeing the field, except garbage time..
