Chicago Bears Next up : The AFC West

    After the Chargers ...

Of course nobody is predicting a win everytime ...

but sombody sure as fuck better be predicting a win everytime at Halas Hall.

Barring injurys that have already happened ... this should be a sweep.

AFC West = BEARS 10 wins.

All that is needed is the will and capacity to bring this three game tour thru the AFC West to a close.

    QB's coming up :

    Palmer

    Orton

    Tebow

Tell me which one we cant handle?

I agree, Jackie, which is why panicking over the Cutler injury, as unfortunate as it is, was unnecessary. We already beat the most talented AFCW team (SD-despite the fact they frequently play beneath themselves for some reason) and the rest of the schedule is pretty darn soft. Obviously there are a thousand factors, any NFL team can beat any NFL team, and Hanie must not crap the field, but there is no reason why this team can't still win 11 games and easily secure a WC spot.

[I'm leaving out the road game vs. GB which would require a miracle to win at this point...consider that a loss]

Oakland: Probably the toughest game left given that Palmer is a decent QB and it's on the road. But they're really banged up, like to commit dumb penalties, can't stop the run, and aren't taking Hester seriously. I like our chances of a 20-13 win.

KC: Even with Orton who's brand new there, this is an inept offense and the game is at home. If the Bears can't find a way to win this one then they don't deserve a playoff spot.

Denver: Tebow can't throw and we won't be burned by his running ability like other teams have. Don't giveaway the ball often and this should be a win.

Seattle: Tavaris Jackson? At home? Again, if you can't win this one, you don't deserve to be in the postseason.

Minny: Ponder will probably become a pretty decent QB but he's not yet. AP is out and may not be back or at full strength. The game, last of the year, will mean NOTHING to Minny other than a draft pick spot. Very winnable road game here too.

Even accounting for the Christmas loss in GB and allowing for one f*ckup game, that still puts the Bears at 11 wins if they play decent ball.

Kansas City WR Dwayne Bowe was targeted a team-high 11 times in Week 12 versus Pittsburgh. But with the game on the line Bowe didn't even put his hands up for the ball and it was picked off, ending the contest. He caught seven passes for 69 yards, both team highs as well. The Chiefs would lose the game, 13-9.

Chiefs RB Jackie Battle gained just 20 yards on the ground in Week 12 against the Steelers. He could have broke a nice run late in the game but ran into teammate TE Anthony Becht for a short gain. Battle did not catch the lone pass thrown his way either.

Chiefs coach Todd Haley said in a phone interview with Bears reporters that he would split the QB reps in practice Wednesday 60/40 in favor of starter Tyler Palko, who is trying to fend off newcomer Kyle Orton. However, Haley reiterated that he plans to start Palko in Week 13 at Chicago. "Tyler is our starter and we gotta get Kyle ready to play. He might have to play. He might not," Haley said.

Chiefs WR Steve Breaston caught four passes for 44 yards in Week 12 against the Steelers. He was targeted eight times by QB Tyler Palko. Breaston almost had a big catch late in the game, but the referees said he was bobbling the ball on his way out of bounds. The Chiefs would end up losing the game.

I DARE us not to win this game.

Denver QB Tim Tebow passed for a season-high 202 yards and two third-quarter touchdowns to lift the Broncos to their fifth straight win during a 35-32 over Minnesota in Week 13. "I know that I had a lot of help. Offensive line did a great job, and receivers stepped up and made me look a lot better than I really am," said Tebow, who completed 10 of 15 passes, his best percentage as an NFL starter. Tebow managed just 29 passing yards in the first half and also lost a fumble, just his second turnover of the season.

Denver WR Eric Decker had two receptions for 25 yards during the Broncos' 35-32 victory at Minnesota in Week 13. Decker was targeted only four times by QB Tim Tebow as his inconsistency continues this season. He was also held out of the end zone for only the second time in his past six games as Demaryius Thomas registered two touchdowns.

Denver RB Willis McGahee finished with 20 carries for a game-high 111 yards and a touchdown during the Broncos' 35-32 victory over Minnesota in Week 13. It was the sixth consecutive game McGahee has gained 100-plus rushing yards as he continues to produce while serving as Denver's leading ballcarrier. He recorded his fourth touchdown of the season with a 24-yard dive into the end zone during the fourth quarter.

Denver RB Lance Ball registered seven carries for 25 yards during the Broncos' 35-32 victory over Minnesota in Week 13. Ball served in a complimentary role to Willis McGahee (111 yards) and finished with a long gain of 11 yards. His 3.6 yards per attempt marked the sixth straight outing he has surpassed the 3.0 plateau. Ball also notched two receptions for 14 yards while being targeted twice by QB Tim Tebow.

Denver K Matt Prater connected on both field-goal attempts, including the game-winning score as time expired, and three extra points during the Broncos' 35-32 victory over Minnesota in Week 13. Prater nailed a 23-yarder in the fourth quarter as he scored the game's final six points.

Whether you're pro-Tebow or anti-Tebow, Denver is playing to new level on both sides of the ball since he became the starter. The game is on the road, Broncs are confident, Cutler and Forte are out, Hanie is playing like shit, our WRs blow, Martz is, well, Martz...we are going to lose.

Never would have guessed I'd be saying that just a few short weeks ago.
