In losing ... WE DID GOOD!
We showed who we are ... he was a cherry who isnt a cherry anymore.
Of course he was going to throw picks ...
but he didnt "manage" the game ... he took charge.
Thats what you want.
Class "A" act all the way around.
He was playing Da Raiduhs ... not the Rams.
Good first try.

Yeah, the D did a great job. Would've like to have seen a turnover, and alot less big running plays. Didn't like martz's game plan at all. The screen in the red zone was him out smarting himself again SMH. I dunno...my glass is half empty right now

I like Hanie, and I'm gonna like him more when he wins.

I thought Hanie played quite well when he had smart plays called. When Martz got too complicated you could see it in Hanie. This isnt Cutler under centre and Martz shouldnt be pretending it is, keep it simple, especially in the kids first start. Martz out-thought himself

Knew it was gonna be a tough game even if we had Jay starting, so all in all, not a bad performance by the Bears.
Hanie did very well when the calls were quick, simple plays. When the play calls were gimmicks, or the play took too long to develop, Hanie began struggling, throwing off his backfoot and what not. Some of his scrambles were very Cutler-esque.
Outstanding job by the defense. They turned what couldve been a slaughter into a respectable 5 point loss. Wish they hadnt let that one drive down field turn into their only TD, but they put in enough effort through out the game to make up for that. Good job guys.
Special teams...Robbie was ridiculous. 53 and 50 yarder? nice. Unfotunately, Raiders had solid STs today, from Schecler and Janikowski to their outstanding coverage. Tip of the hat to them, i can respect solid ST play.

Coaching staff dropped the ball today.

I'm disappointed at the loss, especially with the lack of players the Raiders had, but after 5 straight, we were bound to crash, I guess. Completely hated Martz' screen in the red zone. The raiders D isn't that difficult to figure out, and made Forte the focal point. Next time, if Barber is having bigger gains on rushing, keep him in. Use Forte as a decoy, as all teams from here on in are going to focus on him more than anyone else. The o-line had some bad moments, but nothing to freak about.
My initial reaction during the game was to ask why Bennett and RWill weren't being utilized, and Knox was the go-to guy. Oh well, I'm sure with the chiefs up next, we'll have a better feel for how the offense is gonna run under Hanie, and against a much weaker D, use what advantages we have.

Defense was inconsistent. Game-plan for Hanie was inconsistent. Special teams was inconsistent.
Coaching staff messed up.
They'll get better though.

How was the defense inconsistent? They gave up very few big plays, no passing TDs. They played pretty solid football, got pressure and quite a few sacks.
Ill agree that the gameplan for Hanie was very inconsistent. Martz would stop using stuff that works and kept trying stuff everyone knows wasnt gonna work....like throwing it on 2nd and 1? dumb.
Special teams were consistent, they just faced another great ST squad, so it was difficult for them to do much. Understandable, really.
And Martz made dumb calls from time to time, that cost us dearly. But other then that, id say the coaching staff did well. heck, Lovie even won a challenge, and we forced the Raiders to burn a TO so we could get time to review the play to challenge it!! heh.
