Here's all I learned that's important. Every thing else is secondary. Martz failed two weeks in a row to put together a game plan and playcalling that should have won games easily. Fire Martz tomorrow, let Tice run the offense for the rest of the year. Guys, Martz doesn't give a shit anymore and it shows. One of the sportswriters picked up on something after last week game that made me wonder if Martz would actually put the work into this team anymore that would assure success with Hanie at QB. We got our answer.
The reason I created that thread about being more worried about him than Hanie was based on a hunch that he's doesn't care what the outcome is here any longer. He has a QB he doesn't like and he's running an offense he hates running. Once he started throwing his offense under the bus last week that was the end. He's protecting himself from here on out and that's what you'll see. Mike Martz is a selfish arrogant prick who only cares about where his next stop will be right now. He's given up on this offense and the offense has given up on him. Turn the page.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

You know at this point it might not be a bad idea to can Martz and see what Tice is made of as OC. It would beat having to go halfway into next season to see if he pans out.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

Beggining to wonder if he even cares. At this point I will be happy if he does go to UCLA/ASU, even if it means another OC and style for Cutler to learn. Maybe this one will utilize the RB and TE properly. This is like dejavu all over again, great D little to no talent O under acheiving w/only 1 sb appearance....at least the first time they won it. How much longer is this D going to remain dominant while we figure out how to build a pro quality O?

Like SFB said, at least you see what Tice is made of(I don't think it will be much btw). But I agree you could tell w/those last few drives that if he had wanted to, Martz could have called a better gameplan. This playcalling was a joke and didn't put his backup qb in a position to win.

I think Martz cares. Unfortunately we dont have the talent on offense to make use of his gameplans. With Cutler and Forte, his plans worked most of the time, even with mediocre WRs and sub-par OL. But, take away our two most important offensive players, and his gameplan goes to shit and he cant adapt for Hanie.
He did a more vanilla gameplan with Barber and Bell in the run game, and it worked decent enough but we had no passing game to balance that, so they just blitzed us and planted Hanie on the turf. We cant wait around for Martz to get the players he needs to make his system work, we need an OC that can make use of what we have.

I think Martz can use the talent around him; but he doesn't want to adjust what he does to them; and that's why I wonder how much he really cares. But you are correct Jimmors, we need to find a person that can take what is around; and what our draft tendencies are and work that....I wonder if there is such a person.
Btw, let's not give Tice, Haine, the WR's the OL or the ST's a bye on what happened out there. For all the Tice love, his group got decimated by a team that had only got 13 sacks all year; and got 7 today, Tice's crew sucked ballz. Haine, for all the problems w/the playcalling still didn't execute; and when he did, the WR's didn't. And the ST's just weren't on point at all today.

I forgot to point something else out that should have been painfully obvious. KC is also missing their starting QB/RB, and while struggled, did a better job against a better D.

What we learned is that the Bears cannot win with Caleb Hanie. Caleb Hanie is a total failure and simply not an NFL QB and today he could not get the ball out and could not make decisions.
This team wins 0 games with Caleb Hanie and he is out of the NFL in 2012, write it down.
