    Free Agent WR Shopping List

    Free Agent WRs in Order

    1. Vincent Jackson, Franchised or Resigned
    2. Dwayne Bowe, Franchised or Resigned
    3. Mike Wallace, Restricted and Will get a 1st and 3rd tender.
    4. Marques Colston, Injuries
    5. Stevie Johnson, Franchised or Resigned
    6. DeSean Jackson, Size and Attitude Problems
    7. Reggie Wayne, Age and Injuries
    8. Pierre Garcon, solid #2 WR.
    9. Mario Manningham, solid #2 with good hands.
10.Wes Welker, a slot guy with NO size.

    Who would you guys target?

For me for the price point and the availability I would take a long look at Pierre Garcon and Mario Manningham who would give the Bears a consistent #2.

I like your train of thought, Windy, but I would preface that with the Bears also going out after someone in the draft in the first two rounds like Michael Floyd or, like soulman likes to say, Al Toon in the second round. It appears that the Bears are not going to win another game this season in all likely hood judging from that horrible performance against the Chiefs, so we should get a mid-1st Round pick. I would definitely either go after a WR in the first round or draft another offensive lineman.

I like the Garcon & Manningham picks. Floyd & Toon sound great also, but Angelo knows we need 2 more punters with our first 2 picks.

Or you could look at it this way: Angelo will go after a DE or another S. lol.

    God, Angelo sucks.

I'd like to see an Atlanta Falcons type situation in which we trade up for Justin Blackmon. If Mario Manningham would come cheap, sign him.

I don't think giving up the farm for one player is a wise move. And also, I'm a little bit torn on what to do about the position that we should be drafting in the first round. Do you go after a WR, a LB, or another OLman? There are so many holes on this team that it's impossible to nail down which one to address.

Our last 2 #1 picks at OL are on IR.

    Maybe we should think WR's.

They may not break so easily.

He doesn't have the off-the-field issues floyd has, is said to be far more polished than Michael Crabtree and is the best overall WR this year. He could certainly give us the target we need, and the rest of the WRs don't seem to have that 'It' factor that seem to have, and he's a guy we just might have to break the bank for. Sure, rookie WRs are known to need some time to "get" the system, but I'd take someone of his caliber over any of our other WRs in a heartbeat. We can still draft/sign a few o-linemen this offseason, but with the rookie pay scale, he's not about to break our bank in the slightest. With him, and one or two additions to the o-line in the offseason, we could focus on the D for a while afterwards.

I'd still take a long look at Colston if he doesn't get resigned by N.O. Dude is got great hands, runs good routes, and is a go up and get it guy the likes that JC wants; but I doubt N.O. lets him go.

Mario would be great, I don't see garcion going anywhere, but ya he would be nice...although I would guestion anyone from a dome team then having to adjust to chicago(same would go for Colston but he's been a #1 goto guy).

No thanks to DJ, he's a small faster WR, we have 2 already don't need another. I'd like to see one of these three along w/a WR picked in the first or 2nd. Gotta cut some WR dead weight Roy/Hurd probably.

Who would you suggest we give up for the right to draft Justin Blackmon? We can certainly trade our #1 and one of our #3 picks to get him, but most likely, it will require also the trade of another player already on the active roster. It would be an interesting idea, but I don't know if I would want to risk trading away so much of our draft that we didn't get a chance to build any real depth for the future.

Also, for the record, we need a backup quarterback like Charlie Batch. Mr. Batch, if you're out there, keep your phone line open for a call from dumb ass Jerry Angelo.
