Good question, but its little like asking me how I learned to ride a bike....both happened when I was so young I don’t really remember the details; I’ve known how ride a bike since I can remember; same with being a Bears fan...I guess my earliest and most vivid Bears memory I have is the 1980 Thanksgiving comeback game against the Lions...ran back the kickoff in OT...hell yeah!

Fuck yeah baby ! Just loaded up on seconds from the table to come back and kick back to watch how the game was going to playout,

and it was over in 8 seconds.

Was brought up to love the Bears. My Dad was a diehard Bear fan all his life. He climbed up to the two story roof of our house to put up a "Bear Antenna" to watch the blackout games. If my Dad was watching the Bears on TV and they were doing bad, you better be prepared to duck when he threw something. If the Bears lost, he was in a foul mood. If the Bears won, it was going to be a good week. I'm living in Texas now. A good Sunday is a Bears win and a Cowboy loss. (and of course a Packer loss also).

Walmart. Carrying the gear of whoever is good at the time. 1985=Bears=me showing up to first day of Kindergarten in a 34 Bears Jersey. My parents couldn't care less about sports in general, so I was not influenced. But that jersey got me off to a good start, followed by a Christmas present of an electronic football game (the vibrating board ones) that featured bears v pack- obviously one is better than the other... Downhill full bore ever since

Grew up in the 80s, so the "Monsters of the Midway" were always one of the games on TV. Then got one of those Franklin Sports helmet/jersey combos (mad mac #9) for my birthday and i've been entrenched since. Became a big Neal Anderson fan when he was the first Bear to return my letter asking for an autograph... Richard Dent a close second. The earliest most iconic game I remember watching was the Fog Bowl against Philly.

None of my posts on this forum have been aided by the use of deer-antler spray...

Been a Bears fan for about 50 years now,I was 4 or 5 and considered it a treat to fetch my dad and whatever friend was over to watch the game;fresh beers.
Next door neighbor was a packer fan,but he was over a lot for games.
It was a growing up thing, watching football with the guys.
I remember Gayle Sayers and many others from the era.
I guess I've been hating on the Packers just as long, lmao!

I think I was about 6yrs old. I went downstairs and my dad and oldest bro were watching TV. I said " what's this "? Bro said "it's called football we're watching a Bears game". I sat down and watched for a few minutes and I remember being totally confused and saying " it just looks like a big mess". They just shrugged their shoulders.

But I stayed and kept watching and after a while it started making sense. It really stirred something in me I had never felt before ( I got really riled-up ) and I was soon living and dying with every play. It was exhilarating . When I got older I realized what it was .... like some primal instinct to see my team win the war.

Fell in love with football + the Bears that very day and haven't missed a game since.
What should you call any : Fumble , Hold , Interception , Three and out , or Sack ?

    A " F.H.I.T.S " ? or a J'Marcus ?
