    Chicago Bears Sam Hurd arrested on Federal Charges

    Chicago Bears Wide Receiver Sam Hurd was arrested last night in Chicago on federal drug charges stemming from a Dallas incident.

    His case is being handled by Dallas's office of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, according to the Dallas Morning News. The Federal case and customs involvement would seem to indicate something grander than a typical personal drug posession case.

    Hurd played for the Dallas Cowboys last season and came to the Bears in free agency.

    Neither the Chicago Police Department nor the Chicago Bears have commented on the report.

    Bears wide receiver Sam Hurd was in jail Thursday after authorities accused him of trying to set up a drug distribution network in the Chicago area and arrested him after he allegedly agreed to buy a kilogram of cocaine from an undercover agent.
    Jesus! Wtf is wrong with these guys? A career as a professional athlete isn't good enough - they still crave the thug life. Or maybe he was just working on his post-football career goals. He's gonna partner up with Santonio Holmes on a joint venture.
