g4b, that is completely stupid and selfish. If the team thinks that Nathan has any shot of being a legit backup you don't send him out there w/out any training camp or season practice snaps...and that is ignoring the OL.
Does anyone not understand, that as bad as Haine has been, the OL is a big reason why he looks as bad as he does? Does everyone already forget how bad Cutler was w/the 5 step+ step drops? Fact is give some credit for Sea and their coaching staff who stopped the roll outs that kept haine comfortable and looking adaquate in the 1st half. In the 2nd half all that was gone and they made the OL defend haine in the pocket and they proved they couldn't. This is not a defense of Haine; he's crap, but there is no one on this O that helps him out of a jam either. The whole O looks laughable, Haine is just 1 part of that problem.

wanna know how important a legit WR can be to a QB and other wr's?
Research Notes
Sunday was the first game Aaron Rodgers was without his main target, injured receiver Greg Jennings. Jennings' absence had a drastic effect on Green Bay's deep passing game.
|
that's under 50% for a qb that is normally over the mid 60's. and 6-7 avg is weak for a high powered O like what they had. Jennings helps open up the other wr's; and is a legit safety valve for Rogers. Cutler and whoever is backup next year needs a legit WR to throw to, no doubt about it.

Hanie is exactly what Martz made him way back in training camp when he got into his head in order to undermine his confidence. I'll admit that Hanie has done much worse than I ever believed he would do but tell me how is it that instead of improving every week he get's worse. What kind of an OC is unable to construct game plans and call plays based on what can be accomplished not what can't. I don't know what the future holds for Caleb Hanie but it's pretty obvious to me that his career did not benefit from working under Mike Martz.
That said I'll only go back to my old standby. Jerry Angelo left this team with paper thin offensive talent and a continued pursuit of a championship team with an OC who couldn't possibly run his system without talent that fits it. Martz proved that last year and he's now sabotaged two seasons so do you all want to let him go for three? Keep Lovie because the players respect him and even I have come to gain more respect for him for the way he's handled himself this year after Angelo threw the coaching staff under the bus before the first Lions game with his insistence that the talent was there.
What a crock of shit and if the Bears keep that worthless snake oil salesman as GM you won't see in major changes in the outcome of things next year no matter who they draft or who he signs as FA's. This was the year to springboard off last years near miss, he had plenty of money to do it with, and he fucked up. BIG TIME!
I didn't bother to even watch todays game because I had better things to do than to watch them eat themselves alive one more week in a row. Let's face it. This is the 2011 team Jerry Angelo built and it just ain't very good once you get past the two offensive players who carried it the first half of the season. Jerry Angelo's whole philosophy regarding signing players to build an offense with sucks and nothing I see about him makes me think that will ever change. He needs to step down and until he does you can all expect the future to look pretty much like the past and the present.
What's the definition of insanity? "Using the same old failed approaches over and over yet expecting different results". Welcome to Jerry Angelo's "Mad House". To me the only thing crazier than supporting him is wasting my time watching the product he produced. Maybe when the pain stops and he steps down at seasons end I'll have more to say but if that doesn't happen my 15,000 post probably won't come until 2013.
See ya' all around.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

You may also want to point out that there was a HC change at K.C., Romeo Crenell.

The packers were who he thought they were?

what's KC have to do w/it; let alone their new HC? Arron the great having a horrid day I think will probably say much more about Jennings then Crenell who has never proven to be anything great as a HC.
-
I learned that Sam Hurd was the only one here with a back up plan

The bears will neglect the offense again and draft mostly defense next year.
