Heaven forbid defending this Front Office, but 5 weeks ago I don't think even the most pessimistic among us were predicting a 5 game losing trainwreck to take us completely out of playoff contention...all we needed was 1, 2 wins to stay in wildcard contention until hopefully Jay could come back; that didn't seem like such a tough hill climb 5 weeks ago even with Hanie...

This is the damnable shame of it all. A win or two and we are still looking pretty ok.
Shows the value of QBs in the NFL, and makes me pull a little bit for Houston, although I hate Texas in general, so only a little, but look what they are doing with a guy that was 3rd string a month or two ago. It has taken Indy all season to get over their Painter problem and get Orlovsky playing well enough to get a couple wins.
I don't think anyone thought that Hanie would suck as bad as he has.

Some of us didn't think Hanie was anything special since he has only played half a game. I would have taken Mcnabb or even favre over a kid that has pretty much zero experience.
