Would I sign him for next year ? Only if there isn't a better option available.
He's always been an incredible athlete with plus tools across the board. Problem with him was never the tools, it was the head, as he was prone to horrible decisions throughout his career. Maybe the time away from helmet and in a coaches role gave him a mental epiphany. Either way, he earned another look next year with that game alone.

And in the NFCC game, Cutler only played half...so you guys only beat "the same team" one and a half times by my count.

Screw all this talk about mcnabb. Veteran backups are only good for young qbs just learning. Mcnabb is a washed up has been and is less servicible than hanie.

We need younger projects to grow under Cutler.

Option 1: Release Hanie (overrated) and Enderle (wasted pick), keep McCown and sign Charlie Whitehurst. (Backup QB battle)

    1. Cutler
    2. Whitehurst/McCown
    3. McCown/Whitehurst

Option 2: Release Hanie (overrated) and Enderle (wasted pick), keep McCown and sign Rex Grossman or Jason Campbell.

    1. Cutler
    2. Grossman/Campbell
    3. McCown

Wildly hasty and myopic speculation at best.

Option 3: Release Hanie (overrated) and Enderle (wasted pick), don't resign McCown and sign Jason Campbell and Kevin O'Connell.

    1. Cutler
    2. Campbell
    3. O'Connell

I haven't made it to the second page yet... but if nobody else has said it... this was an epic bite.

And he only bit on Mr. Rogers... like Peyton Manning, Philip Rivers or Tom brady actually WOULD be possible backups. (Fuq Romo, btw)
