Scouting the WR Class [Bowl Season]
I am trying to watch as many of the top WR prospects in this draft in the bowl games and I will try and keep this updated.
Dwight Jones [UNC]
I was unimpressed with him as he appears to have the size and speed, but he is a body catcher and I do not see him as a go up and get it WR. He had a couple of drops and few catches when he was covered.
He looks like a high potential 2nd round pick that needs some time and coaching to be more than a #3.
6/77/1TD
Michael Floyd [Notre Dame] Dec 29 5:30 Champs Sports
Kendall Wright [Baylor] Dec 29 9:00 Alamo Bowl
Mohamed Sanu [Rutgers] Dec 30 3:30 New Era Bowl
Alshon Jeffery [South Carolina] Jan 2 1:00 Capital One Bowl
Justin Blackmon [Oklahoma St] Jan 2 8:30 Fiesta Bowl

I was very impressed with White from Western Michigan. Projected late 5th round pick, if available that late I would not minds seeing the Bears take a flier on him.

Don't miss out on watching McNutt take on a good secondary in CB prospects Fleming and Hurst, and S Colvin on Friday.

Floyd's been kept in check by Xavier Rhodes (a draft eligible RS soph CB who I really like) through the first half. He had one legit holding/PI against him go uncalled but he still dropped a perfectly thrown deep ball without influence from anyone on the same play. His punt returns show his underrated athleticism, and his QBs are hurting him a bit from showcasing his game, but that was one huge drop.

Just had a huge TD catch though, also. Went up and took it away, then had concentration to haul it in after the bobbles

Barely beat a 5'8" CB for a jump ball in the end zone. Didn't do jack until Rhodes went down.

Dude c'mon....that was a terrible throw. That dude threw it right to the DB and Floyd was in a lousy position. He did a pretty awesome job of it I thought

He got shut out tonight as far as I'm concerned.

This was a really hard assessment as you see how bad the Notre Dame QBs are. Floyd had a huge drop on a perfect deep ball, but showed that he can be a physical player across the middle and had a little Brandon Marshall look to him. His speed does not WOW you, but he physically beat up press cover age and comes back to the ball catching it with his hands.
He reminded me of a bigger Anquan Boldin and I think that the Larry Fitz comparisons should stop.
5/41/1 TD
