Now that the season is over...
...what do the Bears do...???
At the very LEAST there is ONE person that should NOT be returning after the end of this season...!!! Believe it or not, but, Lovie is not my first (or second) choice. And, even though he is a certified idiot, it is not Martz either.
Jerry Analhole. I simply can not endure another season of his inept drafting or FA signings. There is more than enough failure to go around at Halas Hall, however, Analhole is responsible for more than any other two people combined.
Sure, Forte may not be back. Most likely Briggs will put on his dress and high heels and stomp around demanding a new contract. The offensive line requires repair. And the WR's, well, we need some. But, in my opinion, the first issue that needs to be addressed is the FIRING of Jerry Analhole.
I am betting that Martz, like Turner, will be made the scapegoat. Sure Martz should take his share of the blame for the failure of the offense, but, Jerry is responsible for the lack of talent within that unit. Jerry is a HUGE failure. He has most definitely worn out his welcome here in Chicago.
The level of commitment by the Bears to their fans will be determined by their (the Bears) off-season actions in 2013. We will find out if the Bears are REALLY in it to win it...!!!
3nagurski, it is nice to be back...

Just asking...
Trade Forte for a Top12 Pick (if possible) a good idea?

No, Cutler won't be nearly as effective without him.

Well, I will have to answer your question with a question: Can Forte be replaced...??? Can a player with EQUAL or GREATER skills be found...??? Notice I stated "equal or greater" skills. I only say that because the Bears were the ones that thought Chester Taylor was a good idea. You would then have to ask, in order to sign this talent, what would the Bears need to pay. Maybe it would be just as simple to resign Forte. He is our BEST offensive weapon. Without a VALID replacement, it would be a bad idea to trade him...

right, but Bell didn't look bad. Could be a #1b guy. The biggest problem I see, we franchise him and he don't want to play for us anymore...

Exactly, and I would not at all be surprised should that happen.
In reference to Bell, I would have a hard time evaluating a guy that was undrafted and has yet to play a full season...!!!

Have to sign Forte before we can trade him. Not happening.
That would make no sense at all to trade a player you just signed, but leave it to Angeblow.

Since when is 2 fumbles, one in the redzone not looking bad for a rb? GB isn't exactly a D juggernaught either. I liked how he ran hard, but for a RB 2 fubmle 2 times is not looking good, and if that continues will cost a starter his job.

RBs fumble. It comes with the job description, some days are worse then others. He also has a very respectable 4.6YPC this year.
