I hope that was a joke. Tice would call plays that would work to this offense's strengths, IMO.

As far as innovation, motivation, and holding players accountable with his grading system if Toub were the only other choice he beats Tice. I have NEVER heard of Tice having a great offensive playcalling mind ever. Line coach yes, OC NO.

The way I view Tice as a potential offensive coordinator is that he is similar to the way Brian Schottenheimer runs his offense. He would probably run the ball a lot, splitting the play calls about 50-50 or 55-45 in favor of the pass. Right now, this team is not a team that is capable of tossing the football all over the field and putting up big points all the time. He would stress controlling the line of scrimmage as a former OL coach. Tice deserves to be looked at very carefully while we have the opportunity to hire him on to this coaching staff permanently.

I think you keep Tice as a line coach providing he understands the Webb experiment was a fail. But if it's just a matter of which one can you keep with the money available it's Toub hands down. I believe he would be a very good coach weather it's offense, defense or HC in general. He is THE top guy you keep right after Forte at this point.
