Good in that he's going to have the working relationship in place from day one, and he'll want Lovie to succeed to avoid the bad part..firing his friend.
I think today has shown that the buck doesnt stop with GM anymore. If we dont make it next year, Lovie is gone, and thats gonna come from the top, George and Ted.

Ravens Defense - TM - Ravens
After talking to NFL executives, Sean Jensen of the Chicago Sun-Times doubts that Ravens director of player personnel Eric DeCosta would leave Baltimore for the Bears GM vacancy.
NFL Network reported earlier in the day that DeCosta could be "enticed to bolt," specifically for Chicago. DeCosta's wife is from the Baltimore area, though, and he was handed an extension last offseason as Ozzie Newsome's eventual successor. Execs tell Jensen that Marc Ross of the Giants, Will Lewis of the Seahawks, Les Snead of Falcons are prime candidates to replace Jerry Angelo in the Bears' front office.

I can see that; but isn't that what they said about Theo to the Cubs, he was from Boston etc etc?
Anyone but the guy from the Seachickens please.

So what legit option would bother with the job if he can't come in and just make a clean sweep of Things like theo did with cubs?
Especially after hearing from score lovie and ja got into it cause lovie demanded to fix the defense this offseason but Angelo wanted to go after offense.

How many more probowlers does lovie need on the defense? I hope they dump Rod Marinelli also.

That's what I'm saying. The fool ja spent more money on special teams then offense. And they keep the other fool that wants more defense. I don't get it. Anyone at Halas hall see offense has taken over the league? We are run by people from the stone age

Who said that...Hub? That sure sounds like a Hub Arkush thing to say. Also, was that just reported today, or did you hear it during the season?

Happy that Angelo and Martz have been let go. Hoping the Bears can bring in someone who knows a winning formula and has actually coached/scouted for a super bowl winning team.
